If you were at either the Storytellers and/or Sessions at West 54th, hope you saw the value of being part of this community we call EDAs. And obviously, how much Jewel and J-team must care about us to make sure we were thought of FIRST to be able to attend. Those are just two single shining examples of the tremendous generosity we've enjoyed for over four years. Why bring this up now? Just wanted to give a concrete example of what we get being part of this list from Jewel. As talk recently has been circling around ways give back to something and efforts concentrate on HGH, I wanted to try to put an image in your head when making donations. What would you have paid to attend either show? $50, $100, $200. Storytellers definitely would have been worth every dime. The money is not much of the point. It's the act of kindness, the generosity of the soul, the faith that your actions can mean much more when done selfishly. So why not jump over to the HGH website right now and let your own actions speak on behalf of the entire list. Small gifts from everyone would mean so much to completing the whole. Dollars aren't in anybody's thoughts, large participation is. And the selections people have chosen off Spirit are generally songs that had been around for a while like Absence of Fear, Down So Long, Deep Water. Just goes to show that despite how everyone on this list seems to say they like Jewel's new music and that she hasn't changed, still, when it comes to picking your top 3 best songs, they are often her older works, most of which are not available to the general public. This is also why her reputation as a credible musician has suffered. A lot of the people who criticize Jewel and call her a "pop singer" would perhaps have second thoughts if they had access to a lot of her unreleased material.
