"Bond Girl's" are always smart, sexy and strong-willed; just like Jewel. The only bad thing is they "always" fall for James' charm. I think it would be really cool to see Jewel turn down James or make him fall for her. LOL the suave devonare James Bond turned down. HAHA! That would be cool. Wanna share your opinion? I'm all for it. I'm Charles & I'm fairly new to the list (but I have done my research). I read with great interest, Jason's post about a site promoting airplay for Jewel & I think this is a great idea ! I'd like to add, I know how this can be made much more effective in the US. There are several key FM stations in the US who's playlist has a MAJOR impact on many of the other radio stations in this country. I don't have the request line phone numbers or e-mail request addresses, but I'll bet with EDA help, we can find them, use them and add them to Jason's site. These stations are probably the Top 10 most influential stations to work on for getting Jewel's new "What's Simple is True" single played, and they all without a doubt would have it by now. Here is the list: WXKS -Boston WPLJ - New York WMXB - Richmond WGTV - Dayton KALC - Denver KALZ & KUSR - Fresno KBBT - Portland KFMB (Star 100) - San Diego KRUZ - Santa Barbara KLLC - San Francisco If you live within range of these stations, call and request Jewel's WSIT ! I know we can make a difference by calling these stations along with those already listed at 'The EDA Jewel Airplay website at http://members.xoom.com/dwstudios/jewel/index.htm Let's support Jewel's work by getting it on the radio more ! This would really be a great holiday gift for Jewel in addition to what is already cooking. I was reading old digests from the EDA list & I know the EDAs made a big difference a while back with radio airplay. C'mon, lets do it again. Charles ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Nov 1999 23:31:58 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: * Re-post - Jewel HGH/Christmas card discussion moved to EDA-Project list This is just a re-post of my announcement from Wednesday night. Apparently a lot of list members missed it. There is nothing new here, if you read last night's announcement you can just skip this one. It is sent on exactly as it was last night, so please note that Alan/MrBB has already sent on the post I refer to below. I'll be reposting that one on Friday evening in case some of you missed it - Mike **** Re-Post **** Hi folks :-) For those of you that are relatively new here and do not know me, I am the foo......er.......guy who operates/runs the Jewel@smoe/EDA list. I am known as Mike. Many of you will get more than one copy of this announcement. It is because of a special method I am using to send it, which sends individual emails to digest subscribers. Sorry for any inconvenience. (Soon I hope to have this changed so you get just one email, two at the most) I just wanted to let you know that I am moving the Jewel/Christmas card portion of this discussion to the EDA-Project list, at least for the time being (subscribing information is below). That is why you have seen very few posts on this project since last night. I have held them up in anticipation of this change. (I won't be sending the held up posts on to this or the EDA-Project list, you'll have to re-post, if desired, on the EDA-Project list) I just got off the phone with Alan/MrBB and we discussed this project for quite a while. He and I are both EXTREMELY busy right now, which is THE major reason you have not seen us chime in as usual offering advice and steering things in the right path when they go mildly astray. We just will not be able to take any true leadership role this time, although we have taken some necessary guidance steps and will help out to a degree in the future when it is deemed necessary. Hopefully, it won't be necessary often, especially if you read our posts carefully AND work with each other to get the job done. :-) Most likely, sometime tomorrow (Thursday) Alan will be posting on this, the Jewel list, what he and the HGH director (Jewel's brother Shane) figure is the best way to handle the donations aspect of this project. I have heard the basics, and I am quite certain it will all work out fine. Please read his post carefully, it may contain some instructions on how to ensure your donations get credited to the EDA/Jewel/HGH/Clearwater Christmas Project. Discussion of THAT aspect (donations) can certainly still continue on the Jewel list. Now, the main reason I am moving the discussion/planning of the Christmas card to Jewel portion of this to the EDA-Project list is two-fold. 1) that list is unmoderated, so you can post to it and your emails will be delivered to the other subscribers of EDA-Project right then and there. This will help immensely in speeding up this project, as the posts won't have to wait for me to get my butt home to screen and approve posts. You will be able to interact with greater efficiency. 2) those on the Jewel list who are not partaking or cannot partake in the planning will not have to have the emails about it filling up their email-boxes. Also, in Alan/MrBB's forthcoming post about the donations, he will give a strong recommendation concerning this Christmas card project. Please read his post carefully and understand what he is conveying. He works for Jewel and knows what is best here. OK....how to subscribe to this EDA-Project list...... it is offered in two versions.....regular (you get ALL the posts individually), and a digest version (you get about 20 posts all rolled into one large post). I recommend you subscribe to both if you plan on being active in this. The digest will serve as an easy way to archive this discussion, as you just have to save those digests for reference, rather than all the individual emails. ** To subscribe to the regular version, send the following two-line command in the body of an email to majordomo@smoe.org subscribe eda-project end ** To subscribe to the digest version, send the following two-line command in the body of an email to majordomo@smoe.org subscribe eda-project-digest end ** To subscribe to the BOTH versions, either send both emails above or send the following three-line command in the body of an email to majordomo@smoe.org subscribe eda-project subscribe eda-project-digest end Please note, this list will NOT be active for discussion until sometime on Friday. This is to give folks time to read THIS email and subscribe if they wish. This project will get off on the right foot best if most of the folks interested in partaking are already subscribed before the discussion begins. I will post to the EDA-Project list when I activate it, so you will know when it is alright to start posting/discussing etc. Gosh.....I hope I didn't forget anything....I have that "I left the stove on when I left the house" kind of feeling........
