I finally got "Joy" Yipee!!! This album is so good. I think its her best yet! A dream come true, literally. I sent this post last December- I was listening to Christmas carols in my car on the way home. "Silent Night" came on. As I sat there listening I tried to imagine Jewel's voice singing "Silent Night", It gave me chills just thinking about it. I'll leave you with this thought. I guess my first reaction to that video is "wow." I suppose it went well with the movie. Personally, I think Jewel handled herself beautifully on the show. She was able to bounce off of Carson's lame-as-always comments in a witty way, and she kept herself above the whole Korn scene (no offense to any Korn fans out there, they're cool). I loved seeing what poses Jewel did for the photo booth. I was just expecting her to sit there and smile the entire time but she humored it well. :) Who was the guy in the video? Is that a character from the movie? If not, why was he in there and not Steve? First, I was completely out of my element there with the Korn kids. They were so hyped for KORN; that was great. I might have seen one or two other people that were there for Jewel and not KORN. Anyway, I want to let everyone know that Jewel was great with the crowd even though everyone knew they were there to see Korn with the exception of very few. She shook hands and spoke with people on her way in and out of the studio. My hand was one of the lucky ones, which was cool! There is not even a need to say that she looked stunningly beautiful! That is just understood at this point. She was so cute with her hands because she never knows what to do with them when not holding something. I don't know if you could notice on TV, but she was playing with her jean jacket with her left hand almost the entire time she stood there with Carson. Did I see her boyfriend there? I'm not sure if it was him, but I saw a guy with a huge cowboy hat that she seemed awfully close with. It was a delight to see Jewel in that up close atmosphere. That's it.
