Jewel has recently been releasing singles.. Jupiter, Life Uncommon and soon What's Simple Is True. Jupiter was different than the Spirit version, Life Uncommon is different from the Spirit version and as far as I know What's Simple is True is going to be different from the Spirit version. I understand the point of a single is for it to be different than the album in some cases.. I mean why buy the album AND the single if they're the same song, but why does Jewel have to remake her songs to be played on the radio... Personally I think Spirit's version of Jupiter may have done better on the charts.. it's more Jewelish... less made up and played around with like the radio edit. Do you think it's a gimmick to get people to buy the singles or do you think Jewel's unhappy with Spirit, as she was with POY ("I listened to it once and cried" - Jewel Kilcher)? I don't want to jump to any conclusions and I don't really have an answer or a bias to the question at all.. I'm just looking for other people's input and stuff.. Thanks for your time!
