It was like the most amazing experience. I was in the seventh row, and got to move right up at the stage. It was WONDERFUL. Anyway , I would give my right arm to have it on tape , so if anyone taped it, PLEASE e-mail me, I have a few tapes to trade, Innerchange Days, Rare Angels, and a few shows from 1996. I would so like to go, but alas I am a fair hike from any beach... So, being silly like I am..... Okay, so the part of Texas I live in has few beaches, but it does have its fair share of pasture!!!! No really though, I was going to organize some Lake clean up, but upon viewing a couple of lakes around here..... Well, lets just say they are a little dry (one lake is about 300 YARDs below the spillway!) So instead of calling it a beach/shore clean up, I thought "pasture" would fit better..... Anyway, here are the details I am shooting for oct 23 or 24th.... It is going to be in the Abilene, TX area (about 200 miles west of Dallas) and ya'll are invited, but once again there is a small problem... 1. the nearest EDA is in Dallas 2. being that I move alot, I have no place to house visitors at all, being that right now i am kinda a visitor! Okay, I have my eye on a few lakes around here, but I need to check them out, and find the one with the most trash.... __________________- Now for solutions..... A..... Camp out!!!!! yes, an EDA campout, with cleaning!!! The only problem with this idea, is with the fickle texas weather, I have no idea if it will be 100 or 32 degrees..... the 24th if my birthday, and I can remember having snow on the ground, and other years swimming, so who knows..... Anyway, I have a small water craft (which is good, as that the lakes are dry =Þ ) No really though, we can have a campout, beach clean up, and general EDA fun.... Like i said, ya'll are invited, it would be great if ya'll can come, if not, well, I'll still have fun, but EDA fun would be better =Þ Let me know if any of ya'll have ideas, comments, questions, and such... take care rowdy ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Sep 1999 10:42:58 EDT From: CaitAdaire@aol.com Subject: * EDA gathering Alright already.... I think it is time for he EDA's in the Cincinnati area to get together. I was wondering what happened to her, if anything did. The reason I'm asking/wondering is that I read somewhere that Britany Spears (or however the heck you spell her name-ugh!) Was involved in a little song plaigerism sometime in 1996. Oh well, it probably wasn't her :) ~L ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Sep 1999 14:08:02 EDT From: SlvrWingd@aol.com Subject: * Plea from a desperete, time-pressed angel! I don't remember her playing "Enter From the East," although it's possible I could just be suffering from faulty memory. However, I love that song, so I don't think I would have forgotten it...? Also, she sang "Chime Bells" as an encore--her very last--and that one wasn't listed. I wonder if any other fans who went to the Jones Beach show can help me out? Did she play EFTE and am I going very prematurely senile? Thanks, Amy :-) P.S. This is the setlist that was on the webpage that I think has a few minor discrepancies: Jewel set: Near You Always, Deep Water, What's Simple is True, Hands, Jupiter, You Were Meant For Me, Pieces Of You, Innocence Maintained, Angel, Enter From The East, Barcelona, Life Uncommon, Foolish Games, Down So Long, Do You Want To Play, Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, Who Will Save Your Soul Encores: Absence of Fear, Angel Standing By ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Sep 1999 15:01:01 EDT From: Jwlfan112@aol.com Subject: * Looking For Maker Of Yahoo Messenger Theme A while ago, someone said they made a Jewel theme for Yahoo Messenger.. Try refreshing your browser or emptying the browser's cache and then visit the page. Otherwise, your browser may be loading a previous "unfinished" version of the setlists guide. The Jones Beach setlist there does include the 2 songs you thought missing. However, your inquiry did help because I double checked for you & your memory is excellent! Jewel began playing the guitar intro to "Enter From The East" but almost immediately transformed it to "Grey Matter" which was the actual last song of the acoustic set. In my "database entry haste", I missed that. So thanks Amy! I've fixed that particular setlist accordingly. I have a book called "Jewel: An Everyday Angel" by Tracey West. It says that Georgia declared Jewel's Birthday "EveryDay Angel day." Somebody mentioned on this list mentioned Jewel's dual personality atributing it to the fact that she is a Gemini. This is what I came up with. Look at her name, Jewel Kilcher. Jewel is a very soft word, say it you'll see what I mean. It also brings up very beautiful mental pictures(of Gems and Miss Kilcher). Now look at her last name Kilcher. Kilcher is a much harder sounding word. The first sylable is the word kill-. Maybe this has something to do with her seemingly dual personality. I told ya it was kinda weird. I dunno I guess thats what I get for being bored, very very tired, and dreaming of Jewel. I guess it could be worse, i could be dreaming about somebody else. HEHE!
