I know we've all passed very tough times... you know like we couldn't see Rocks the Rockies,VH1 storytellers, CMA (maybe we can watch this show until next spring or so)and we couldn't watch the 'Sessions' live on this Christmas day, even couldn't watch it... hey Mr.BB, could you help for us?? but Yes,I finally got an info for Net Aid broadcasting live to Japan. we can hear her performance at Net Aid on Radio!! here's the information; << on 10/9 InterFM(76.1) will be broadcasting live from many country, this is an exclusive broadcast of InterFM radiostation. the broadcasting will starts on midnight, so don't miss it!! >> I heard this radio commercial when I just going to sleep, but after this, my eyes won't gonna close..it was 2 am..then I listened this radio until 6 am. I thought I have to request her song. so I send my song request('Jupiter') to InterFM, 30minute later the song played. Cool! I never heard 'Jupiter' from any Japanese radio stations, but they played. then I tried one more request it's Steve's 'Everything about you',30 minute later...nothing, hour later ...nothing. Then come to an end, without steve. but I'm still happy that I knew I can hear the Net Aid in Japan. Rock,Jewel Rock!! c ya guys! I know it's been done before, but it's my senior year (WooHoo) and we have to chose a quote to go into the yearbook, so I was wondering if anyone had any good Jewel ones? Well, all of Jewel's quotes are good, but I'm looking for the really hard hitting good ones. Anyone? Thanks a bunch, take care, bye bye! I continue to listen to it several times daily and I absolutely love it! :-) I think this was great work by Jewel. It still has the Jewel style, but a little different flare, which although you wouldn't want all her songs to go that way it is REALLY nice to see every once in a while. Everytime I see the video I think of how tired she looked when they made it (as we saw on MTV's Making the Video) and I think WOW this video might have been worth it. I'm looking forward to hearing the benefit single LIfe Unocommon. So to those of you who were at sessions what did you think about the way she sang it? Was it much different from the album version? Thanks for the info! Anyway, keep calling your radio stations for Jupiter and keeping voting for it so that it can win Jukebox #1 on NBC's show Friday Night! Just head on over to: http://www.nbc.com/fridaynight/ and click on the music link and then vote for Jupiter! WE CAN HELP HER WIN AGAIN ON NATIONAL TV! (At least here) Hi fellow EDAs! It's been a couple of weeks since the last post so I thought I'd remind everybody... :-) First off I'd like to thank the EDAs that have already responded to the earlier postings about the EDA Jewel Airplay List. In case you're new to the list, or missed the earlier posts, here's what it is: The EDA Jewel Airplay webpage is designed to be a central point from which ALL EDAs can help Jewel gain a greater presence on the radio. It was started when I got fed up with my local radio station not playing Jewel. So I decided, "Hey, there's about 1900 EDAs out there, all with e-mail access, so why don't we start an e-mail campaign to get her played on the radio more often. But we need a semi-organized way to do this." So I whipped up a quick page on Xoom, and asked fellow EDAs to stop by and send me their local radio station's e-mail and website addresses. Please be patient while the site loads. It's not huge, it's just Xoom is kinda slow at times. But it's free! :-) How it works (in theory) is each EDA stops by once a week and sends an e-mail to each of the addresses listed asking that a Jewel song be played. I've conveniently hot-linked each of the addresses so all you have to do is click on each of the names and your e-mail program will pop up with the proper address filled out. All you'll have to do then is fill out the subject line and put something like "Please play Jupiter by Jewel" in the body of the e-mail. Then click send. Bam, 15 seconds tops. Sound easy? It is. All we have to do is stick to it. Well, over the last couple of weeks I've gotten quite a response. Thanks to everybody who's sent in a radio station so far. But now we need to keep e-mailing these stations like crazy. It'll only take a few minutes and you don't have to do it every day. Once a week is enough, but we all have to make sure we follow through with this if it's going to work. And keep it up, cause persistence is key here. Just like Jewel and her career. :-) So if you don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about, please stop by the website to find out more. And please send e-mails to these stations. If you're worried that it won't affect your local station, remember that a lot of stations choose their programming by "what's hot" lists, and these lists are often determined by what's being played in larger markets. And how do they determine what needs to be played? Well persistant requests do have somthing to do with it along with other things. So if we can cause a large enough of a swing in a few markets by hounding their request lines, maybe it'll have a "trickle-down" effect to the other stations. I dunno, but hey, it can't hurt right? If you've already sent me an address, remember to stop by once a week and e-mail these stations or they'll never listen! ########### Here's the website ############## http://members.xoom.com/dwstudios/jewel/index.htm Thanks, and keep those e-mails comin'! Yes!! So I may pass by some of you guys. ;-) On the way back I"ll go through Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and then back through the top of Texas all the way down to my Southeast TX home. :-) Oh, my point is that in New York I may try to get on TRL. Do any of you know how that works? Do I have to be there like REALLY early? I notice now that they have a studio audience on there. Anyway, I'll be in New York on Oct. 7th and 8th so I'll try to get on there. I just need to know what I need to do. Maybe they'll talk to me on air (yeah right) and I'll give a little EDA shoutout. ;-) Ok, well anyway my personal email address that you can write me on is (I won't be checking it after the 29th though for almost 3 weeks, so write quickly): saphron_star@yahoo.com And that is an underscore between saphron & star....usually on email programs it underlines the whole thing and you cant tell. You can either read this long post, or go straight to the ource( http://www.pathfinder.com/ew/daily/0,2514,1998,ewreportsfromtoronto.html but I don't know if it will always be up there, or be replaced. Here's the article: BORDER PATROL EW reports from the Toronto Film Festival. Jewel and Bruce Willis are just two of the celebs who made the star-studded scene ''DEVIL''ISH Skeet Ulrich, Jewel, and Maguire by Betty Cortina At Bruce Willis' last-minute Planet Hollywood bash celebrating the screening of ''Breakfast of Champions'' at the Toronto International Film Festival, the baseball-capped actor sat in a corner with costar Nick Nolte and ''American Beauty'''s Kevin Spacey scarfing down cheeseburgers and fries. ''Ketchup, please,'' Willis bellowed to a waitress, wiping his mouth with a napkin. The ''Sixth Sense''r wasn't the only one with an appetite at the 24th annual fest, where an unprecedented number of A-listers (including Jeff Bridges, Jewel, Annette Bening, Susan Sarandon, and Elton John) and 319 films created ravenous crowds and hearty helpings of good buzz. Though Toronto is noncompetitive, a handful of awards were given out: Jeremy Podeswa's ''The Five Senses,'' about five people who struggle with theirs, was named best Canadian feature. And ''Shower,'' by China's Zhang Yang, received an international critics prize. The event's big winner, ''American Beauty,'' took the People's Choice trophy and hosted the most star-studded party, featuring David Schwimmer, Minnie Driver and beau Josh Brolin, and festival It Boy Tobey Maguire (in the well-received ''Ride With the Devil'' and ''The Cider House Rules''). But despite a favorable exchange rate, Toronto saw few studio shopping sprees. Artisan, expected to be on the prowl for the next ''Blair Witch Project,'' left with nothing. Lions Gate grabbed one film, the Spacey drama ''The Big Kahuna.'' ''The quality of available films was lesser than in past years,'' says Lions Gate president Mark Urman. Fine Line picked up three films -- ''The Five Senses,'' the lesbian coming-of-age comedy ''But I'm a Cheerleader,'' and the French love story ''Une Liaison Pornographique'' -- for low six figures each. ''Somebody,'' says Fine Line president Mark Ordesky, ''is going to have to take my credit cards away.''
