Fellow EDAs (and esp. those who went to Sessions) -- If nothing else comes to mind when you think of the Sessions taping, think of one thing, actually two: 1) the taping, besides being recorded for Sessions, was done to promote the Spirit of Christmas --- for me, once the whole show began, it didn't matter than it was the middle of September, Jewel's voice, the superb back-up from the choir, even Nedra, all of it made it seem a lot like Christmas was alive within the studio.. THAT is what it was all about for me.. and 2) all of you who went -- whether you realize it or not, that version of "Life Uncommon" was recorded with us on it. Sure, you can't actually pick yourself out of the background noise, but YOU know you were there, and that in itself makes it a rare thing that no one can put a price tag on. Now, please, can we all stop this ranting about Sessions and move onto something else? Like maybe what everyone who will be watching thought of Merle and Jewel's duet? Hmm.. Sounds like a good topic to me..
