Anyone know if this is going to be Pay Per View? I won't be getting it if it is, being as poor as I am. Hopefully, it'll be a cable or HBO thing.. God knows I'll never get through on the Internet, as many people as they will have trying to connect.. I don't think the set list has been posted yet so here it is (if i can read the tiny scrap i wrote it on) near you always deep water whats simple is true hands jupiter YWMFM cold song (do you wanna wanna catch a cold with me)- in honor of the weather morning song barcelona life uncommon foolish games down so long down (ill take you) love me just leave me alone WWSYS summertime (and the livin is easy (Gershwin/ Ella Fitzgerald)) poetry chime bells (acapella) i forgot if the encore started after love me or wwsys surprises:cold song and summertime although she has played each recently disappointments: very few mello tunes, no angel standing by, amen, adrian, 1000 miles away, etc. personally the setlist was kind of mediorce to me but her energy did seem very up. (Although she said she was "feeling frisky" like she did the night before and after, maybe she really did but i think she could change her mood descriptions a bit ( i know, im nitpickin a bit here :)) i heard a lot of people (including my friends at the show) say that it was awesome and i guess for a first timer it would be. For a crusty old vet like myself (well, 5 shows if that's crusty) I'd give it 3 stars out of 4. next time i really hope less band, more jewel with acoustic solo- thats where her brilliance shines through. i had pretty up close seats- will post pics on my webpage in a few days peace Barry-Lone Wolf- Jeopardy-I Drink Like Poltz-Angel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Aug 1999 22:59:15 -0400 From: Mike Connell Subject: * Jewel list owner: my new email addy & the list homepage moves too Hi folks :-) For those of you that may not "know" me, I'm Mike and I'm what is called the "list owner" for Jewel@smoe.org and the Jewel-digest version. I saw the Bits & Baubles ad, and I thought the same thing. I made everyone in the room shut up so I could watch and listen. It was the totally loveable Jewel that we've all fallen in love with. Despite what some people may be saying about how fame has gotten to her head, this commercial shows how down to earth and completely the same she is. Yes she's singing chime bells, for all of you who havent seen it. I say everyone should stay glued to their TV's until they do see it!! I have went to approx 150 concerts in the last 3 years and this one was without a doubt the best. Unfortunately I was by myself, my friend backed out, I still had a blast. Second, If anyone that went to the concert took any pictures I will pay to have them duplicated and sent to me. The people at Sandstone wouldn't let me bring mine in(darn), I would really like some pictures if anyone has any from Sandstone. Third, if anyone has this concert tapped, I would like a copy. Again I will buy the tape and pay for shipping.
