The whole cancelling of Jewel's performance on the "Today Show," which was originally scheduled for July 23, 1999 is upsetting to me. I'd like to know if it was NBC or Jewel who cancelled it. (I'm sure it is NBC. They must be wanting to cover the JFK story a little more in-depth!) I feel really bad for him, his wife, her sister, and all the families. However, this I don't feel should cause Jewel's performance to be cancelled. Why can't they have a happier note in their show and have Jewel perform a couple songs? The JFK story deserves story in my view and it gets it. That doesn't mean that a week after his plane went down Jewel can't perform a couple songs and take up ten minutes of the show's time. She was scheduled long before this week. I wish the JFK family and his wife's family the best and I hope we will get to see Jewel on the Today Show in the very near future! :-) At least there is other Jewel in the coming week (WOODSTOCK, MTV, & VH1) to tied us over (the few of us with this cable access anyway). The one thing good about the Today Show and Jewel is that it is FREE TV and more people would have gotten to see our angel. I'm not trying to be some raging fan, but I did want to express my views!
