TM ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Jun 1999 21:22:38 -0700 From: "li'l waternymph" Subject: * big ass texas event HI EVERYONE ok. things are getting closer and closer! for those of you who missed derrick's very informative post to the list, this is kinda a recap of what is basically going to happen. remember, most of this will probably change JULY 8th: an informal bbq held somewhere in austin. i may have a problem with this because of a new job i will probably accept with in the next few days, as i will not get off work until 11 pm, but after that, party! JULY9th: everyone who is going to the dallas show hustles to dallas. i will probably be driving dennis and amy up with me and would still have room for one more person if need be (from austin or somewhere along I-35 to dallas) then perhaps we can have a quick dinner somewhere to get familiar with all the faces! then JEWEL at reunion arena. those of you who are not going to dallas may want to go ahead to houston, which brings me to my next point. ******IMPORTANT:-)******** ok, listen up houston EDA's! We need someone who knows the area a little to scout out a place we can party. if you can possibly offer your house or apartment courtyard or whatever, that would be splendid. if you aren't comfortable with people sleeping on your floor, i understand, and we can all just stay in a cheap hotel or even camp if the weather isn't 105 degrees. (ha ha, right) if not, i really don't know the area or the parks or anything! so if you have any ideas please let us know! after the dallas show, several of us will be driving into houston late that night. JULY 10th: BIG ASS TEXAS: the day of the happy event! This is gonnas probably be the bulk of the partying. Before the show we want to have a big ass texas style bbq, i mean we can all just bring our hotdogs and shishkabobs and rolling rock and sunny delight and just have a blast getting to know each other before the JEWEL show at the woodlands pavilion. i have been to the woodlands a couple of times and i know it is a really pretty, so maybe an outdoor picnic isn't out of the question. maybe even a lake party? are there any swimming places around there? JULY 11th: ok, now several of us are probably going to drive to new orleans sunday morning to make the show there. i know this is crazy, but for those of you who want to caravan be sure to buy your tickets tomorrow morning!!!! i would love to "get to know" as many of you by email as possible before july so that i can match the eda with the face. so feel free to write me! if you are going to the dallas show, please write me also. love luna ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V4 #303 ***************************
