I was happy to drive again with my german every day angel friend Marian to the Venue Kultur und Kunstzentrum Liederhalle....Jewel was going to play there at 20.00 o'clock. As always Steve was the supporting act, and he did his songs with as many energy as we are familiar too... I spoke with Nico another every day angel, and he offered me gently the German Stern magazine where Jewel was in with beautiful pictures. Than i saw Jewel walking behind the Trucks with Lee Greene and i greeted Jewel and said hi to her. She said hello to me again. She walked inside the venue and some later i was still waiting Lee came out again and i talked with him again. We discussed again about Concerts in Holland in October and she might come again for her Spirit world tour. I was so in clouds, because i asked Lee if he could do a favour for me. I am always to shy to walk to Jewel and ask her personal for a favour for the dutch fan. I asked him nicely if he could let sign Jewel a personal postcard with some nice words for her great dutch fan. Again Lee was helping me with my request. I always want to ask Jewel it myself, but it's hard to get to speak with her. I only managed one time , it was during that memorable day at the dutch television studios in Amsterdam on the 18th of may. That was the first time i could tell Jewel personally how much i appreciate her music and how pretty much i love her lyrics. She was so sweet to give me a hand that day, and i was to happy to think of something more for example a photo from me and Jewel :-) This night in Stuttgart was really special too, because Jewel and Steve sang the song together from the early Java Joes days. The song was called Old lover's house. The song Jewel and Steve probably have written together ! Jewel played the following songs that night :-) Near you always - as tender as ever Deep water - with her beautiful deep voice What simple is true - the lovely band version Hands - Jewel plays her guitar so beautiful in this song Jupiter - the new rocky version with her band You were meant for me - could it be different ?? Old lover's house!!!! - couldn't believe this pretty song Stranger enter from the east - Just listen to her voice and you are in heaven Kiss the flame - I think she played it because her 2 cousins were inside the venue today!! Grey matter - Jewel really love this song!! She told that to the audience in Offenbach A life Uncommon - Passionate version ...i really like this song Down so long - Oooh doopy dop yeah!!! Of course Jewel thanks her band members , and invites the public to come to the stage. As a real fan i always have front row seats and could enjoy Jewel play and sing right in front of her.....really cool how well she plays the guitar and makes the crowd excited with her dancesteps with the who will save your soul song. Who will save your soul - with the citty wants some milk part again :-) Encore this night Absence of fear - really beautiful to see Jewel come so close to her public when Steve Georgia plays the keyboard Angel standing by - the song Jewel learnt herself when she was living in her car and that would give her some good feeling to get a sleep. The concert was over, and i really enjoyed every minute of course! After the concert i decided to wait outside the venue to get a chance to speak to Jewel. Suddenly i saw Lee walking and i asked him friendly if he still have got the special postcard written for me by Jewel. He told to me : yeah sure of course she signed it for you. Jewel wrote on this beautiful postcard from her postcardset that you can buy at the official website - www.jeweljk.com - To Michiel . Many thanks for your support at the concerts. Love Jewel. It was written with a silver pencil so you can imagine how pretty it is and how much it means to me!!! i was really in clouds, and as soon as i saw Jewel leaving the venue with her 2 cousins thanked i her for the special message she wrote to me. She said that i more than welcome was, and she laid her arm on my shoulder and i was really even more happy and i could lay my hand on her shoulder as well. It was a special moment that gave me much happiness and now i know why i always quote - in the end only kindness matters from Jewel. She is so nice for her fans, i really still think about this great moment for me. It meant a lot to me. He sang a lot of good songs, even some new ones. Ten chances I love you Circus song (how special in a circus...steve said he always wanted to play in a circus!!) Blue Town Silver Lining The great mystery... This song was pretty cool, because at some point Jewel looked at a beautiful girl called Didi . She was a friend from another german EDA Nico. And Steve saw Didi sitting and he jumped of the stage and he started to continue playing the song The great mystery right in front of the girl....Steve also give a cool answering machine cd to Didi...i thought she was completely blown away with Steve 's attention Jewelfans :-) And as finish the Great Starwars song with Chickubaka.!!! He always asks the audience to be Chickubaka the starwars character...don't bother my writing of the word Chickubaka...you know what i mean hopefully! After this good show I saw Jewel play and sing in the Circus Krone venue. It was odd to see Jewel playing a circus with Steve. It had strange seated chairs and i think the accoustic wasn't very beautiful. Jewel apologiezed for havind troath-troubles so she told that she couldn't sing to well.. It was a funny version because at the end they started to laugh and the song finished very rare, actually not completed !! I travelled after the french concert in Paris to Offenbach. I had spoken there with a german every day angel called marian and we met there for the first time. He was very friendly ...he offered me a place where i could sleep and i was introduced to this brother Marco. We drove to the venue. It was a wonderful venue. Again it had free seats , so i wanted there to be early again..... I had a front row seat again because i always be in time to see her perform :-) The show started with Steve Poltz - the san diego singer songwriter....who doesn't know him ??? The setlist of Steve is always very interesting because he sings always different songs and warmes the crowd up for the concert.. I love you Forbidden fruit ( Verboten Frucht as Steve was mentioning !!!) Welcome Home Soup Silver Lining The great Mystery Waterfalls....the TLC Song he played with so much passion...really too cool!!!! After a short break as always Jewel enters the stage...the crowd was excited to be honest!! Near you always - still i believe it can open pretty better than this song.....the crowd is waiting with excitment of Jewel...and the crowd is really silent...and than they normally starting to applaud for the wonderful Alaskan singer/songwriter we so much love.. Imagine when you have been there....how cool this is!! You were meant for me.... I was shocked again when Jewel and Steve started to sing together..i only saw it once in belfast with the 1st European concert they did.....it was the in Paris written song valentine....together one piece of harmony..steve and jewel are special and unique together....they surprised us because than they sing and played together they wrote together ...my body is changing... Jewel asked the crowd if they wanted to hear something in particularly....she started with trying to play little sister but this night it didn't work......but in Munich she played this song with her pieces of you booklet on her accoustic guitar and reading in the dark the words....but when she read a couple of words she remembered it all !!! So unexplainable cool was this!! The german crowd and i asked for play so close to heaven, another fan said : satellite...than jewel said no grey matter, and than somebody said Last dance rodeo...and guess what Jewel said :-) Last dance rodeo that is a pretty one....allright i have to remember it!!! So she started to play the guitar and she remembered all the words of this song (let's see what we can do!) Morning song Another song she played...it was a country song but i forgot the title..she said i fellt very sleepy....because sleeping on a buss and eating pizzas every day...she is always worried because the brakes might broke ... Jewel said : i can do country songs all night.. This is the song...maybe Alan can help ??? Over my ....???? First, it was great to see my EDA buds that went to the Greg Page show last night (Candi,Riz,Lori,and ..sigh...even Lora..)and I hope you had the good time I did meeting you all and enjoying the music. Now the BIG NEWS!!!!!!!! The reason we weren't able to book Java Joes for the 25th (the friday before Jewels SD show) is because Gregory Page and the Troubled Sleepers are having their CD release party. I think that is fair exchange...it is bound to be a great show as cd release parties are always a draw for other area performers to turn out to show support/jump onstage to mix it up musically. What a great way to start the weekend! For those of you who haven't seen Greg's band...this is a MUST SEE event ...plus his new cd will be readily availible for sale... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! The Pre Jewel EDA Concert has now found a new home in OB...The name of the Coffee shop escapes me, but it is BRAND New and we will be practically christening the place. It is a great shop with excellent sound and facilities and it is RIGHT on the beach...beach fun...live music...and only a couple blocks from the Famed Java Joes (joe turned out to be too cranky for our wild fun this time..those of you who have met Joe know what I mean..). Add to this the OB Street Faire that will be happening that weekend and the possibilites for frivolity literally stagger the mind!! The Gathering begins around noon with the music starting @ 2pm. From there we will be able to make our pilgrimage to the Jewel Show! Directions and more specific deets will be forth coming.. The 27th...Guess what ...JEWEL AGAIN!!!! Can it get any better than this!?!?!? Pre show Gathering possibilites are still being worked out...if you have an IDEA (hint,hint) toss it out to the list and watch it blossom...your idea could be THE ONE.
