Thus her involvement in > Lilith Fair. Just have to say, even when I read the lyrics separate from the listening to the songs, I think Spirit makes POY sound almost superficial in comparison. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying POY is actually superficial, I just don't think it's got the lyrical depth that Spirit has, and where POY does have super lyrics, they're often not married with the best songs. There all too often the best songs just don't have the greatest lyrics at all. Just my opinion, Ian EMAIL : iconroy@jesus.ox.ac.uk "We've made houses for hatred It's time we made a place Where people's souls may be seen and made safe Be careful with each other These fragile flames For innocence can't be lost It just needs to be maintained" Jewel - Innocence Maintained (1998) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 May 1999 19:34:44 -0500 (EST) From: jenniea@expert.cc.purdue.edu Subject: * J-cards and meow meow does anyone have either an extra J-card or one i could print off of their website for "jewel rocks the paradise"? also, does any of the new angelfood circulating from the overseas concerts have the jewel meowing thing? thanks! jennie i'm still dubbing if you're still hungry! check out my angelfood page! http://expert.cc.purdue.edu/~jenniea/jeweltrade.html we don't have to trade--you can send me blanks and $$. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 May 1999 02:01:24 -0700 From: "The Glittery Starry EDA" Subject: * Summerhome in your arms, My bit of happieness tonight. Hi EDA's, This is not a very happy mail from me nur I just wanted to let you know what some people who work where I go out a lot did for me because I was a bit sad because my cat had died: I was a bit depressed and I had a Walkman in my bag with the Rare Angels in it and they wanted to play a song for me. So I said that they should play Summerhome in your arms for me and they did that. Next week I am going to bring an tape with more ( and faster ) Jewelsongs. No one else of the costumers liked the song but it made me a little bit happier. And that was what I wanted to share with you. OK folks, not to put you on overload or anything, but since people are already asking and getting excited for it, here is your official announcement/invitation to Bearsville '99!!!!! First off, I have decided to hold a contest to name this year's event. The name must begin with Bearsville '99: - for example "Bearsville '99: Dennis goes to sleep" - but hopefully you all are more creative than I am - LOL. The winner will receive a set of 3 Steve Poltz cd's recently traded on the poltz list!!! There should be only one entry per person, so make it a good one. All entries must be sent to EdaMommy@aol.com - Good luck to everyone :-) Judges decisions are final (it's a panel). Now, if you have no idea what I'm talking about and are asking yourself as you read this what in the h*** is Bearsville '99 - then please go to http://www.spectra.net/~ducksoup/bv/bv99.htm and check out the page Mike Connell put together for us :-) (the pages for the past two years are also still available for viewing - just change the 99 to 98 or 97 :-) OK, so you're dying to attend - or you have questions and want more info, the next step is to write to me at BRSVL99@aol.com and let me know - The list of attendees will also be available for viewing at the Bearsville '99 web page :-) Hope to hear from you soon!!!!
