Good Call Buddy....I know I'll do my best to request rare songs at every concert I go to. I personally would like to hear the rare jewel/steve duet: 'My Body Is Changing' or perhaps 'Daddy She's a Goddess'. The full band/acoustic solo aspect of it really doesn't bother me that much.....This is just a thought and is NOT meant to 'bash' the Euro fans but perhaps they are not aware of all the great 'non-album' songs, because jewel is alot less popular outside of the USA. Although I'm sure that there are many 'hard-core' jewel-fans outside of the USA...Also I'll bet it's hard to get angelfood outside of the USA, I feel your pain, guys. I was angelfoodless for nearly 1.5 years, but I have since built up a pretty decent collection. But I'm just a poor college student who can't afford to trade with people that much. Believe me I would if I just had some more money. I'm just saying I want a semi-sponteanous concert, not the same thing that has been cranked out a thousand times over.. Alright I got a quick question: Is anybody here fans of Alyson Hannigan, she's an actress? Anyway email me if you are I'd be happy to talk about Aly, cause she's just awesome....;) Cheers, - --Mike - -------------- >Has anyone else been reading the downright atrocious setlists that have been posted from >Europe? I agree, like at Cambridge, which wasn't too bad with the audience (probably because there were a lot of Americans?), but for example, when Steve was singing the Star Wars song, I felt like I was out of place making Chewbacca (sp?) sounds... maybe just my part of the hall, I don't know, but everyone around me was really silent! Ok, here they are: 1) I LOVE her song All The Animals. Does she play it often? The only place I have heard her sing it is at JewelStock. I was wondering if anyone else knows where I can find her singing it besides Jewelstock. 2) In "Memoirs Of A Housewife" she says "I would bet all the jocametti in the world." Well, I *KNOW* that I spelled the jocametti or whatever wrong, but I was just wondering, what the heck is that?!?! Maybe it was some obvious word like "Money" and I was just hearing it wrong? What does it mean?!?! 3) On the JewelStock tape, before Jewel starts to sing Angel Needs A Ride, she says she ripped off one of the lines from the Baghdad Cafe. And then she says "I hope you find it." Well, stupid me couldn't find it. What was the line? 4) In the original, faster, version of Life Uncommon, there is a middle verse that she cut out of the "Spirit" version. Is it just me, or does she change the words to that middle part at every performance? 5) This one doesn't have to do with a song. :) Ok, so I was looking at the updated concert listings and I found one that was in Washington D.C., of which I live very close to. Well, after I finished jumping for joy :) I went to ticketmaster.com to see if I could buy the tickets yet. Unfortunatly, my concert is July 30th, and they only have them onsale thru July 24th. :( But anyway, the concert is at Merriweather Post Pavillion, so I went to their webpage. I checked the listings for the month of July, and Jewel wasn't listed! I did a search of their concerts, and it said "Sorry, no matches." What is up with that? How come Jewel is not listed on ticketmaster, pictix, or merriweather? and 6) *generic question* Does anyone have any angelfood?!?!?! (sorry, i'm a hungry angel!) Thanks for listening! Howdy Angels, I've seen a billion videos and have heard a million songs in my lifetime (numbers may vary) and i know a good video from a bad one! Personally, i think that DSL is an awesome song as are just about every song i've heard from Jewel! But, the video is not very well made! It's as if they had a one paragraph idea and went with it! I wish they had gone with Jewel's old video directors, all her other videos are so original and made for the songs! Down So Long has great potential for the radio but with the popularity of the video, it's most likely not gonna hit the radios as much as we'd like! Have a great weekend and Mother's Day Angels! Halo all, I was listening to Aint' No Looking Back and it made me remember a recent post about why Jewel and Steve always mention the East as opposed to any other direction. Well, I think that who ever said it was about the Sun rising in the East as a positive thing or direction in one's life was correct. Because in ANLB she sings about a negative view and says "You always look to the west..." so that really makes sense. The East is positive because it's where the sun rises symbollising new beginnings and a new direction in life etc... and the West is bit on the negative side because it's about endings and such. Anyways...just an observation. I have a question for all those who like a little research...and once again maybe this has already been inquired about in the past, but what is it with black cars with red flame fire birds on front. Did Jewel know someone with a car like that or did she have one? She mentions it in a couple different songs. (Racecar Driver and Housewife's Revenge? ) Any theories or comments are welcome. One other thing...who here's all going to the concert in Vancouver? I just got front row tickets!!! Yea..my friend waited in line for like 6 hours...he got there at 3am and it didn't even open until 7am and the tickets finally were sold at 9am...I'm so HAPPY!!!!! Anyways...I'd love to meet some of you Angels so email me or post and let's set up a meeting before the concert..K?
