But more important was the gig itself. Jewel was dressed in a pure american way I think. Crocodile leather-like pants (in green) and a sort of bodywarmer which she opened totaly almost. The shoes where as in the UK Q-magazine, with a 'bit' of height. The fashionpolice should give a warning :-)) (I know many people don't like this talk about fashion and clothes but I think it's a essential part of a concert.....) I scored the setlist afterwards so luckely I can write the set down here. But the solo section is not on the set (there is only "SOLO") so I have to remember the songs. There were 6 I think. and it contained "sometimes it be that way", Morning song", "cold song", "grey matter", and another two which I can't remember clearly now because it's just 24 hours after the concert so it is 11pm :)) (bedtime because the travelling the past two days just to see Jewel was hard ! :-)) SETLIST says: (I have no scanner but I will try to scan it asap and let you enjoy it on a website in the near future....) Hope she will extend the rocking part of the concert. - - Not played Innocence Maintained but a wonderfull Life Uncommon. 1:1 to me. - - She called everybody to the front and we ran from row 22 to the second row before the stage..... What a luck we had. - - I will never forget the rocking end of this concert. She passed for the Pinkpop-festival test with the last twenty minutes. - - Introducing the band too late (IMO) - - Nice and friendly tourbusdriver ! - - Merchandise too expensive (bought the tourshirt and tourbook anyway....) - - Fantastic girl sitting next to me on row 22 and we are going to chat by email about Jewel. (was her first Jewel live experience and she was stunned afterwards. Just blown away :-))) - - It's very difficult to get a signature of Jewel. I prais myself lucky to have one on a poster and one on the POY cd cover which I got in '97. It didn't work out this time...... AND A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR LOUISE FROM AUSTRALIA !!!! I did ask Steve some questions after the concert (he was looking for a taxi and couldn't find one so he enjoyed talking to us for almost ten minutes.) I asked him about the tour experiences so far and he did remember you Louise. Main answer..... He didn't forget the kisses :-)) (seriously !) I will see him the 24 th of May again and I think he will remember me. I'm almost positive. He IS friendly and has humor. Got a signature on the DSL AUS-import cd I purchased that week.
