If you have any confirmed concert date questions or upcoming TV questions, have a look at www.jeweljk.com for accurate scheduling. I corrected several dates today, added some more TV broadcast info & the upcoming Canadian venues & dates. More will be forthcoming. Bookmark it & check it for daily updates & changes. :-) Also, I wanted to pass on an idea again. When Jewel's first album was released, it was THE EDAs that made a very appreciated difference by calling radio stations & requesting they play Jewel's singles. Surprisingly, "Down So Long" seems to be kinda slow on catching on to radio programmers. I'm still seeing posts from people hearing it on the radio for the first time & several have written me saying they have never heard it on the radio. I'd encourage EDAs to call your local stations & request it! I remember when the EDAs enthusiastically called radio stations everywhere & it definitely made a difference. Go for it! Thanks! However, as it turns out Jewel was not born in Payson Utah after all, she was born in St. George Utah which is a good 244 miles from Payson. Where the confusion likely came from is that she was born in Payson Hospital in St. George. Honest :-) I would not lie to ya....it's even on the Jewel website in the "Rumor & Truth" section. Mike, I loved your ducksoup page, and the alternative versions are hilarious! Anyway, introductions, I'm Brendan, 21, from Meath, Ireland. Jewel isn't as big as she deserves to be here. My first experience of the angelic one was when I saw the MTV awards in 1997. Foolish Games - I was hypnotised! And got Pieces of You, which almost got worn out on my walkman. I finally got my hands on the Spirit CD a few weeks ago, and it's sublime! I even bought the Batman&Robin soundtrack mainly to have Foolish Games on CD. So, basically, I'm a big fan, and wish she got more publicity over here. Um, other stuff about me - I work in a radio station, and also in a videostore, so I'm pretty busy. I have my own computer with AOL, IRC, ICQ, etc., but usually I check my emails from work. I watch 2 TV shows - - Dawson's Creek and Ally McBeal (actually, hearing Jewel on DC provoked me to buy Spirit). Other favourite singers include Sarah McLachlan and Tori Amos. I collect sundtracks because I like a big variety of music. I read a little too - Christopher Pike and Richard Laymon are my favourites. I guess that's enough info for now.
