It is a general no no thing to do. The spirit concert in wellington had signs up saying no cameras. The flash would probably put Jewel off. There were bag checks at the concert i went to. I spoke to one of the security guys on the day of the concert at the venue, he said i could get it in if i had it in my pocket. I got a mate to put it by his ankle so it got in alright. I made sure the flash was off. I got a few shots off, three of them were pitch black. I pointed them in the wrong direxction and the one with something was a big blurry mass. It was hard becasue there were two rather big bouncers at each side of the stage and i was in the front row and i swear they were both looking at me. But it's the feeling you always get if you know you are doing something you ain't suppose to do. Anyway i hope that helps you lot that are going to see Jewel. It's all worth just being there!!! Well,After the Japanese SPIRIT tour,2 news papers has her really interesting interviews with cute picture(which is more interesting?). The Yomiuri post has interview on Apryl.16th, and Asahi post on 20th.(which both evening edit) And in these interviews,Jewel mentioned that she is already gonna make preparations for next album!!! and some of works it'd be aggressive Rock!! like she had perform at touring.I guess she will put the song "Down" into it.(I hope, because this is important one in show to change the mood, and also my fav song recently) The picture on Asahi post, shot was when she lie down on a sofa.this is familiar thing to me on her article but I never had saw a pic like this when she having a interview.I know she dislike to sit down on a chair though.and I found one mistake on that article.the writer wrote her first poetrybook that "A night without amore" (not armor) and one more bad thing is it was b/w picture, bummer. v.v.Yomiuri has very good picture by color :) sorry if my English was wrong.please use your imagination :) and thanks to Kim Lee!! your report has helped me so much, you know what I'm telling? and one more,is there a Japanese EDA on this? or am I first?? bye-bye Lisa.F Tokyo,Japan ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Apr 1999 09:52:36 -0400 (EDT) From: Richard Dixon Subject: HGH Benefit/silly question Hi! I got a ticket! I didn't become a *huge* Jewel fan until after the POY/Lilith Fair tour was over a coupla years back, so this is the first chance I'll have to see her live. I was bouncing off the walls yesterday! I'm from Atlanta, and thought it was silly to look, but using a discount ticket search website(www.smarterliving.com) I found tickets for Saturday to fly from Atlanta to LA for $200! I got an orchestra level seat, seat E-14! Ok, I had to share all that. :) Now, my question. I see the names "Vogue" and "benefit" attached to this and wonder: is this like any other 'normal' concert where any attire is acceptable, or is this like some of the really hip 'benefit' concerts you see where everyone is wearing a suit/dress? :) Seems silly, but I don't want to show up looking like an idiot. Thanks so much for posting the info for us, Alan, and thanks to Jewel for being so cool as to set aside tickets for us like that! I'm trying to record some for as many as I can. I would love to record stuff for all of them, but I don't have that much time. So, if any of you angels out there have angelfood and a little bit of spare time you should consider offering to help some of these people out. (for those of you that don't know Jewel sang Water is Wide with Sarah >and the Indigo Girls at Lilith Fair)... by the way who wrote Water Is Wide? >Is that an old song or did Sarah McLachlan or the Indigo Girls write it? According to my Lilith Fair CD liner notes: Indigo Girls/Jewel/Sarah McLachlan Traditional, Arranged by Indigo Girls, Jewel & Sarah McLachlan Published by EMI Virgin Songs, Inc. and Godhap Music (BMI)/ WB Music Corp (ASCAP)/Tyde Music (SOCAN) I'm taking it to mean this is an "old song." Tyde Music is Sarah's songwriting "company" just as Wiggly Tooth is Jewel's. I'm guessing Godhap Music is the Indigo Girls'. Extra Vogue tickets have been added to the batch available, so anyone here who wants to go can still be fairly certain of getting tickets. Much to my amazement, only a few dozen EDAs called for tickets! Man, more EDAs than that emailed me begging for information two weeks ago! Where are YOU? LOL! So go for it, if you thought they were all gone. There's plenty of tickets left! Here's the instructions again for your convenience (below). This concert is the first time ever that the entire J-Team will be in the same place at the same time. :-) It's gonna be a real good night. I look forward to seeing you, MrBB This is about the HGH Benefit Sunday night at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. This is an intimate private performance with proceeds funding HGH projects. I have good news for you on this! Here's what's going on. This HGH benefit is being put on by Vogue Magazine, so we had little control on who was invited & making tickets available to you. However approximately 100 tickets were made available to Jewel. Jewel decided that she would like to make all these tickets available to EDAs that would like to attend. Consider this post your personal invitation. :-) Here's what to do. Call this special ticketmaster #: 213-480-3232. Ask to purchase tickets to the VOGUE HGH BENEFIT in LA on Sunday night. DO NOT ask for the Jewel Concert or they will not know what youre talking about. There is no listing for this other than the VOGUE HGH BENEFIT. (This is also in an effort to avert scalping & allow YOU to get tickets.) If the line is busy, keep trying. All tickets to this intimate HGH benefit are $60 plus service charges. That's it. Bibi, West & film crew will be proffessionally filming this concert & I'll be audio recording it for use in Jewel's forthcoming home video project. It's gonna be a special night. Join us there! :-) MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Apr 1999 13:06:51 PDT From: "Nico Pham" Subject: =?iso-8859-1?B?R2F0aGVyaW5ncyBpbiBTVFVUVEdBUlQsIE1VTklDSCwgWtxSSUNI?= Guten Tag, Grüezi & Bonjour EDAs, I already posted something similar before, but maybe there are more EDAs interested in this now: Are you going to the Jewel-concerts in Stuttgart, Munich or Zürich?
