I had the Box and MTV on a lot at home, until I came back from vacation 2 weeks ago, and I didn't see it once. Having said that, they've recently cut the number of videos on their playlist down drastically to give more airtime to the most popular, and there are some new releases that never seem to get on their playlist now - for example, I never saw Lynden David Hall's Medicine 4 My Pain, which is out this week > Secondly, what is the deal with Jewel and Glastonbury? I didn't realize that there was even any prospect of Jewel playing Glastonbury, but I wouldn't really want to go anyway since it's too expensive and too plain muddy! Well, I'm sorry, but anyone who talks like that about a fellow musician who has gone through as much heartbreak as them - maybe even more, is just a diva. They should be supporting each other. They are no better or worse than Jewel is. And maybe she was being fake a little. Maybe she was tired. Maybe she was depressed/angry. Who knows? If you read nasty things said by you by people who are supposed to be supportive and close to you everyday for a tour, wouldn't you have to bite your tongue just to be civil? At least Jewel had the courtesy to turn her back on them. Please read carefully! I want to answer a few important questions & update you on some more things before I take off for a few days. I may not be posting again or answering email until all this is over, so please save this info if you need it. First, I'll address two important questions & then on to the new info. I'm getting many emails asking if we can do an all EDA audience again at MTV Total Request Live next week. We did that last time because it was the day MTV celebrated Spirit's release & wanted to include EDAs in the "Jewel TV" special. It wasn't for TRL. TRL was happenning simultaneously, so EDA's experienced both. If you are in NYC & want to attend TRL next week, then I suggest you contact MTV. They get those audiences somewhere & they must have some standard daily procedure for that show. I'm also getting many inquiries about the HGH Benefit Sunday night at the Henry Ford Theater in Los Angeles. This is an intimate private performance with proceeds funding HGH projects. I do have good news for you on this! Here's what's going on. This HGH benefit is being put on by Vogue Magazine, so we had little control on who was invited & making tickets available to you. However approximately 100 tickets were made available to Jewel. Jewel decided that she would like to make all these tickets available to EDAs that would like to attend. Consider this post your personal invitation. :-) Before I give you the instructions, please understand that if you repost this information all over the Internet, then you are basically screwing this up for other EDAs. Scalpers will buy these up immediately if they learn about it, so PLEASE DO NOT repost this info elsewhere. When the tickets are gone they are gone. I cannot do anything & will not reply to any inquiries about this once this is posted. Please just follow the instructions & pass this info on only to friends who will appreciate it. Here's what to do. Call this special ticketmaster #: 213-480-3232. Ask to purchase tickets to the VOGUE HGH BENEFIT in LA on Sunday night. DO NOT ask for the Jewel Concert or they will not know what youre asking for. There is no listing for this other than the VOGUE HGH BENEFIT. (This is also in an effort to avert scalping & allow YOU to get tickets.) If the line is busy, keep trying. All tickets to this intimate HGH benefit are $60 plus service charges. That's it. If you can't afford it & live in LA, she'll be back in LA for a tour stop soon so don't be too upset. You'll also be happy to know that Bibi, West & film crew will be proffessionally filming this concert & I'll be audio recording it for use in Jewel's forthcoming home video project. So you'll all be able to experience some of this concert when the home video is released in several months. Now onto other various other info. Included below is NEW information on the NYC FM interview broadcasting times for next week followed by a recap of all the upcoming US & UK TV. The other new info is that Jewel is taping an interview with BBC Radio 2 for future broadcast today. UK EDAs may want to research air-date & post it. She's also doing an extensive interview with London's Sunday Express Newspaper. I would guess this will be published soon to coincide with the UK Tour. I forget if I told you the release date on the UK "Down So Long" single. That will be released May 24th. This is the version with "Fat Boy" & "Amen" as the live bonus tracks. These two songs were part of the encore recorded on the final night of her last 1997 Europe tour in London. This version of "Amen" is truly remarkable. I guess thats it for now. Can't think of anything else. I look forward to seeing many of you at the HGH Benefit. Over & out... Ahh well..... I remember a while back when Jewel won her first AMA (I think it was her first anyway) I either read or heard on radio the DJ or writer bagging Jewel saying how she had used her acceptance speech as a big sob story about how she'd lived in her van and been really poor... I dunno what it is but it sounds like the whole living in a van thing before becoming famous must really annoy some of the other artists out there and some of the media... oooh hey guess what was just watching E news (Australia) and they were interviewing Sarah McLachlan and they showed a bit of Lilith Fair and Sarah singing Water Is Wide and well of course Jewel was shown on stage as well !!! (for those of you that don't know Jewel sang Water is Wide with Sarah and the Indigo Girls at Lilith Fair)... by the way who wrote Water Is Wide? Is that an old song or did Sarah McLachlan or the Indigo Girls write it? Oh yeah and one more thing do any Australian's know when and which of Jewel's TV appearances that Mr BB has been mentioning will be airing in Australia?
