Mike In all fairness, I believe I have a right to defend myself in response to Mike Connell's post: As for the number of posts that I have sent that got snuffed out by the EDA gods, I was refering to the amount I send over a very long period, back to last year when I tried getting simple things through like my "Bad Trader's" list and a post that talked about how I felt Jewel should run for president! There was also a post that mearly mentioned my thought on the corney "poob poob u doo" Jewel does at the begining of Down So Long. Keeping in mind, all of which did NOT offer any Jewel Videos. As for selling: I only started to offer a REIMBURSEMENT option as a favor to some EDAs that had nothing at all to trade with or the time and means to go on the scavenger hunt for material to obtain my Jewel videos. No profit was ever made and I lost money on a few where something had to be replace because of cracked videos or cases, not to mention the destruction of one VCR! I quickly removed that option forever once Mr. Connell reminded me that it was is not a good idea to have money involved. Good luck for those of you who want videos now, for you will have to search the globe to try and find at least 1 thing I don't have of Jewel on video for trade. No hair off my back. Yes, totally copied from those people up in North Europe. When asked to play his proof, he put on a speeded-up version of "HANDS" and then said that all Jewel did was take that and slow it down. He also said its one of the songs appearing in the movie "Titanic" when Jack and Rose are dancing... ~I think its mildly amusing... since the last time they got a real laugh was the contest "are your teeth more crooked then Jewel's?" His posts spark activity on the list, people respond with what they think, true mostly in damnation; but he is well and truly established as a character on the list, and that's what we need. Well this is really the first time I've ever sent a post out (I've only been and EDA for a month or two...but I've loved Jewel for two or three years) and lately everything I've recived is stuff I really don't care about...all the fighting, picking peoples words and thoughts apart, I usually just skim those, look for something interesting (if there is) and then delete it. Alot of people are getting on Jewel about her new image and all that business. I have to admit, I was a little sketchy on her new look (especially without her guitar) but after today I've changed my mind. I realized its not about image at all. I just recieved an email from an old boyfriend and wanted to share it with everyone. One particular part of it reads....."Basically I was sitting around the house today listening to jewell, just thinking about what I was gonna write you. Thank you sooooooo soooooo sooooo much for making me listen to jewell, her music has really inspired me and helped me understand the true meaning of love (which is a four letter word). Ok so he can't spell her name, but what do you expect from a punk/hardcore type of boy?
