At this message board I post at, I'm in charge of this little survey. I thought it'd be kinda cute to do here. What I do is put two Jewel songs against each other and you vote for which one you like better. Sound good? (disclaimer: please, no one get offended. All Jewel songs are good in their own degree, and this survey is only for fun. thanks:)) Send all your replies to me here at Luvermb20@aol.com with the subject Jewel Poll, ok? thanks!! Answer away: Who Will Save Your Soul vs. You Were Meant For Me Near You Always vs. Innocence Maintained Morning Song vs. Hands Today's survey is strictly album songs. If this survey goes well, next time I will do non-ablum songs, or a combination of non-albums/albums. :Þ Thanks again. :) Ami ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 03 Feb 1999 10:11:26 PST From: "Steve Garner" Subject: Spirit chords I'm looking for the chords/tab for "Kiss the Flame" and "Jupiter". Is there anyone out there who can convert the two, as I said you don't have to buy special tapes, coz the are the same, the one thing you've got to bare in mind is that NTSC goes faster then PAL, so a T-180 (I believe it was a T, I don't know for sure) tape in a PAL system is a lot longer than 180 mins and an E-180 tape in a NTSC system is a lot shorter than 180 mins. I think the main reason for it is that other kinds of music >are in style there. Jewel's music is very soft, and her lyrics very >beutiful. I Agree with you, I think that that's one of the things that's holding back the European audience too, here it's more those new groups popping up everywhere, you may have heard of these; Aqua, S.O.A.P. Loona. Now a lot of longer existing bands pop up everywhere; The Corrs, The Cardigans, Kent, Half a year ago nobody had heard of 'm. and a lot of girl-bands are popping up; Spice Girls, B*Witched, Solid HarmoniE, and a lot more like this. >Though many people in Europe now know how to speak English, Well, that actually isn't completely true, for instance in France (no disrespect) almost everyone refuses to speak another language, we always used to go on holiday there, but almost nobody spoke any other language, No English, no German, none of all that. The same for almost all of Eastern Europe, Polen, East Germany, Bulgary, former Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and all that. >they are not intrested in Jewel because of the kind of music she >uses. >Lastly there is a serious lack of promotion and media around >Jewel... so she never really got a chance. I have let some of my >friends listen to her (okay, ALL of my friends) and they do like >her. The only problem is- you can't find her album... That's completely true too, that's the same over here, her videos show about once per two/three weeks for about two to three months after a single releases, the only real hit was Foolish Games (the remix of course). There was an ad once for about 4 months for the promotion of PoY, and now Spirit is only mentioned in an Ad for 5 Albums, and I haven't even seen that in 3-4 weeks... Though finding her album here isn't a problem at all, almost every CD-shop has even got one or two copies of PoY.
