I feel so special! A lot of angels seem to like or in some cases even love my idea. (which I know was not too terribly original, but oh well) Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone who DID give me feedback, and others who agreed with my idea. I wasn't exactly thinking along the lines of us EDAs wearing the same exact shirt as one another, because dressing similiar to others just reeeeeeally isn't my thing, but hey, some of you apparently like that idea. :) Someone posted about going to a Bob Dylan concert (you're so lucky! you got to go to one! :P) and how everyone was dressed like hippies, or something to that effect. Well, that's kind of what I plan to do, dress up like a little flower child and wear a self-made Jewel/EDA pride shirt. I know our angel isn't coming to the U.S. for a while, but hey, for once in my life I'm actually not procrastinating on anything like that, so be proud :) But, I'm getting off my topic. I just wanted to thank all you angels who approved my idea and others who gave me information on how much it might cost to make some shirts. I can't wait to start making some designs for my own shirt, I think I'll start working on them tonight. Ok. Now, I may sound like a craftsy angel all of a sudden, but does anyone know of any companies (online or not.. in the US preferrably) that put pictures or designs on guitar picks? Or is there any way you can add pictures to your guitar pick?(instead of cutting and gluing/taping them to your pick) Well, I think that's about it, ya guys! Sorry for being such a curious little EDA lately. My brain is just buzzing like a little bee lately, I suppose. :) - --Jessica, the mischevious, tomboyish, in love angel that likes to "clumsly strum" her guitar ************************************************************ * Jessica ICQ: 3872338 * * * * AIM: skizopyro * * * * webpage: http://surf.to/dbjess * ************************************************************ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Jan 1999 21:33:02 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: Jewel on the NEW Launch CD ROM #24 Hi peeps :-) I'm kind of surprised no one has posted this yet, unless it just came out and I stumbled upon it the first day or so, but on the Launch CD ROM #24 (orange-ish cover with R.E.M featured) it says at the top of the front cover: Hear Alanis Morrisette, Dru Hill, Jewel That's the ONLY mention of Jewel on the front, back or inside covers. I can't play it as minimum requirements are a Pentium 133 and I'm moseying along with a 486-66 and all that plays when I toss it into my regular CD player are two R.E.M. tracks. I have to guess the Jewel track is "Hands" or "Down So Long". I'm sure someone will post soon enough as to what Jewel content is on this disc. Of course, for much more fun viewing and listening pleasure on CD ROM, I recommend getting a back issue of Launch #9, which came out in October of 1996 and Jewel was the feature. I cannot recall for certain what she sang on it (Who Will Save Your Soul is likely though), and there was a decent video/interview, including her mentioning JewelStock. You can order one online at the Launch website at http://www.mylaunch.com and then scroll down until you see "back issues" on the left. Like Daytona, Jacksonville, or even Orlando. And as soon as the tour dates are announced, I'm calling Ticketmaster and reserving my seat. However, no one I'm friends w/ likes Jewel. My best friend wants to "De-Tox" me of Jewel. (I can't believe it!) So I was wondering, would anyone go to one of her shows by themselves? I was considering doing that, but I don't want to look like a fool. Has anyone does this, or would they go alone just to not miss the chance of seeing her? Thanks cymbaline ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V4 #51 **************************
