An electric fan That keeps me company tonight It's nights like this make It easy to forget Why we used to fight Love is an ember Born to burn out Well, I wish it would No, I don't feel that good Lately they blend And blur with the scenery Crowded rooms make it easy To forget I'm lonely The cat puked in my shoe Guess it's fitting it would But I, I don't feel that good Regret's a useless word Usually I try to avoid it But sometimes it gets so quiet That I can't remember the morals But the part I can't admit When you're thinking out loud Is just a whisper That feels like a shout Oh, God, I made a mistake I can't breathe without you The cars driving by They throw their lights Against the wall I should go to bed Get out of this chair And turn the TV off Oh goody! I get to go to bed alone! If I could get excited I would No, I don't feel that good - -------------- There you go crazy angels! Take care! I don't know about you, but that's one of the reasons jewel inspires me so much. she's not afraid to do what she wants. you know what I'm saying? she can just be herself. i would have loved to be at that concert. just to see her being herself-that's my dream, ya know? i am not as lucky as probably a lot of you....i never got to see jewel perform live. and just to see her live would be enough, but to see her doing one of the things she loves and does best (singing) while she's being herself just moves me. thanks for your time to read this silly ol' e mail. Here's the reality for all concerned EDAs: Contrary to reports in The Hollywood Reporter & Billboard Magazine online, Jewel's mother Lenedra Carroll has NOT "stepped down" or been replaced as manager by Julie Agrati. Recent false reports apparently stem from a misinterpretation by Billboard Magazine & then the Hollywood Reporter mangled additional facts after basing their uncredited report on the Billboard one. (Can you say "the telephone game" where things get more distorted with every telling?.....pass it down....;-) Anyway, the reality is that Julie is NOT Jewel's manager or her co-manager. Due to her experience in the industry, Lenedra brought Julie on as chief operations officer in order to improve the day to day operations. This will allow Lenedra a bit more time to concentrate on the planning & strategy of Jewel's long-term career, projects & business. So all you Lenedra Carroll fans out there, worry not! :-) MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Jan 1999 09:58:47 -0500 (EST) From: James McGarry Subject: Re: Hi from New Zealand On Wed, 27 Jan 1999, Nicholas Wong wrote: > i just purchased a couple of tickets to jewel's spirit concert. Yes, Jewel was first in NZ as part of a Pacific rim promo tour, from Sept 19, 1996 to Sept. 22, 1996. I didn't mean for this to happen, nor did I want a religious debate. I was merely trying to clear a misconception-but first wanted to know what Jewel meant by it. I'm sure it was just a mistake, and I'm well aware she doesn't go around mocking Mormons...or anyone, really. (Which is why I love her.) But I didn't want anyone thinking poorly of Mormons. If anyone in the US knows details of this (is it the one only EDA's were invited to), could you fill us in? It's a half hour show which is more coverage Jewel has had in Australia ever, I think? It will be repeated a couple times too (24/2/99 @ 9:00pm, 27/2/99 @ 11:00am), so if you don't have cable yet, now's a pretty good time to get it.
