Hey Angels! I've had a hectic beginning of the year, with all the tests and re-installing my computer. Just as I pulled away for a while and prepeared a post my hard-drive crashed and I lost most of the stuff. So I had to start over from scratch and I took the different approach. I'm still very much limited with the finals starting this week, but I did manage to get the results into a presentable form - since I had some work done in some files I did manage to back up. So everything is now up on my homepage... For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about... just a quick reminder... I did a poll on what everybody's favorite albums were... and all interested was supposed to send me their TOP 10 favorite albums of 1998... So people participated and now results are in... for more info check the page or e-mail me. If any of you don't have internet access and are interested in results, e-mail me and I'll send you the results in one form or another... The rest go to: http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Metro/2009/frames2.html or if your browser doesn't support frames... go to: http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Metro/2009/contents.html to find the results of your votes... and also you can find my favorite albums of last year... cause it turned out that I have proof that I didn't quite fix the results the way I wanted them to be. And of course a big thank you to everybody who gave me the thumbs up and even thanked me for doing this and to everybody who voted more or less seriously... you made it possible! :) And hopefully next year all of you and many others partcipate as well... so until next poll... I'll go back to doing the usual lurking with an occasional post. Again I apologize for this delay, but it was out of my hands! :( If you have any questions, problems, comments etc. don't hesitate to e-mail me. C-ya! Have fun and stay beautiful Dr. RomeAntic, an angel with the worst stroke of luck "She is much better without me She walks through the gates of the country Her hands in the air And I smile as I watch her walk by Somehow I see there are ships in her eyes Yeah she is better off now" Black Lab / Gates Of The Country / Your Body Above Me Catch Dr. RomeAntic's cyber image @ http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Metro/2009 ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Jan 1999 16:28:28 -0500 From: Karen I Murry Subject: Clearing things up on EDA parents Hello out there. I don't know if I really should be the one to explain this, since I don't exactly have this whole thing down pat. I am pretty sure that maybe some of the EDA veterans will back me up on it in case I am wrong, or they have something else to add. Anyone can be a parent. But it's much easier to HAVE a parent first. I have a mother and a father. My mother's name is Kelly. She's a sweetie and helped me out a lot. My father...I haven't heard from him in about a year so I don't think he's on the list anymore. I think he left when the list was getting EXTREMELY controversial. A mother/father is someone who helps you out with any EDA/Jewel problems. They start you off with angelfood (you have to ask someone else what that is because It's not that easy to explain), they help you to find out information, and they also become great friends. I hope this helps clear up some things. Love Always, ~Angel Princess ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Jan 1999 22:37:31 -0500 From: Karen I Murry Subject: Do I really need a subject? I have been on this list for about a year and a half now, and I am happy to say that I am proud to be an EDA. it's not the color of Jewel's hair that brings us together, or her attitude towards life. For all we know, she could have a bitch who turned down all the nerdy guys and never gave them chance. Or she could have been the beauty queen who took "Fat Boy" to prom. Who knows? We are here today because we love the way her music settles in your stomach. Or that feeling you get after the tears swell up in your eyes after you hear "Foolish Games" for the 40 billionth time. The best is when you scream "Carnivore" (my favorite song of all time) to the top of your lungs because you think no one can hear you blasting away in your car. The people next to you can just see your stupid expressions, and they are probably still laughing about you till this day. So what can I say? I am an Every Day Angel! If I get off this list, if I stay on it, if I go to the gatherings, or send out angelfood (which is also a drink in Smoothie King)...I will still be an Every Day Angel. Because as long as I enjoy her songs, and mouth out ever word that comes on the radio, the EDAs will always be there. Your stuck with it, and the friends will always follow. And even if you did get off the list, there are still 1000+ EDAs typing away during there spair time. So, if in doubt, ask yourself why you are here. If no reason comes to mind, then you must have been really bored to even get on it in the first place, and the best solution is to just get off. No biggy. No problems. No hastles. No Flames. Don't ask me why I just wrote all this. Maybe because I haven't posted in over a month. Or maybe because I am trying to think of an excuse why I shouldn't go to bed now. So, let's say i and get it over with: I am proud to be an Every Day Angel. I just bought the piano songbook for Spirit. I was playing the melody for Deep Water, but it just doesnt sounds right at certain parts. The chorus sounds mostly right, but the verses sounds like the wrong notes! Is anyone else had this problem, or am i going delusional? Ami ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Jan 1999 22:55:06 EST From: JohnTracy4@aol.com Subject: Re: Jewel-web.com (difficulties in loading explained) On Jewel-web.com they use a lot of graphics, it takes about a minute and a half after all of the flash animation has gone through. After you see singer songwriter poet inspiration go by words with the "Jewel--Spirit" cursive handwriting will go across the screen, then a last screen will show up. It has about 3 fading pictures of Jewel from the booklet in the CD. After all of this happens you will hear the basic chords from hands playing over and over again -- annoying because it is not a real musical sound on the web! -- Then the final screen will have 4 links. The Artist, Sights and Sounds, The connection, The words. These are the 4 selections you will have. If you have a slower computer or a slow connection, it may take longer for the initial setup to take place, as long as a few minutes, but if you really want to visit the site, have patience and listen to some music while it is loading, preferably Jewel, might I recommend Spirit, I hear it is good.
