Hey all- The recent bitchy posts crack me up. Don't believe anything you read. I've met her twice and she was super cool to everyone. The radio guy asked a dumb question, shes been around for 4 years, sold 10 mill records, 3 mega hit songs, and toured the world. Everyone who hasn't been living with the monks in Tibet should know by now that she lived in a van. Anyways, on a similar note, what the current topic of discussion SHOULD be is the Rolling Stone interview which struck me as quite odd. In addition to dreary rehashing of all the old alaska stories and van stories, (which Rolling Stone has already written about in the past itself), Neil Strauss's article came off as kind of like him bragging how much Jewel liked him ("interviews are a seduction process on both sides, and this one was really working", meeting nedra was "as if meeting a girlfriend's parents for the first time", and "she (Jewel) is not hitting on me, nor am I thinking of hitting on her but I remember a line 'Iam told millions adore me but no one calls", then apparently the interviewer sleeps with her in the same bed ? and the next day Jewel tells him she dreampt about him and the interview all night? Well, maybe they are pretty tight but it seemed a bit odd to me. If I was dating Jewel- I don't mind an interview over for dinner- but sleep overs? Wonder what her current beau thought of that. The interview itself was typical Rolling Stone fluff, very little commentary on the new album, lots of commentary of the things Neil and Jewel did while hanging out together, food they ate, etc. Oh, I forgot, he did mention that Nedra is endowed with an ample bust like Jewel, so I guess there was some important info in there.
