A B movie stands for a LOW BUDGET project. Granted a porn may be a B movie, but not all B movies are porn. The original Godzilla, and every sci fi movie they tear apart on Mystery Science Theatre 2000 is a B movie. I just wanted to clear that up for everyone. To all those who have not yet voted in my Jewel Poll please do. If you lost the message, here's a make-up for you. I express no poinion on this subject at this time, so don't try to guess what I'm thinking and say that I am wrong. (PLEASE!) I will talley up the results on Monday, and hopefully post the results on TUES. THANX to all the EDA's that have voted, and will vote. And those who are going to NYC have fun and enjoy yourselves. Here's the poll if you missed it! *************************************************** To all those who subscribe to JEWEL-NEWS, you probably got a review of SPIRIT, that was, well... not good. It was from New Musical Express, and it made me wonder. So, out of complete curiosity I would like to present to you a poll. It has to deal with bad reviews. Below I gave possibilities, and if you would be able to take a minute of your time and be kind enough to respond, I would be very grateful. So here it goes... BAD/PUTDOWN JEWEL REVIEWS A: Should not be posted on the EDA list B: Should be posted with a forewarning (example: this is something some might find offensive) C: Should be posted along with everything else Please submit your vote to bpodeszw@stu.blanchet.k12.wa.us and here's the tricky part; In your subject line please include the letter (A, B, or C) of your answer, and in your body anything you might have to say or reasons why you voted for your answer. I will go through everything and post the outcomes along with some of the defensive comments. Hi Everyone! I suggest that everyone go to there music store and ask if they had any Jewel Imports of "Hands" in. I went to a whole bunch of malls today with my friends and asked all over the place [music world, HMV, sam the record man, Future shop and A and B sound] and would ask just out of curiosity if they had it. All the places had at least one of them, except future shop. Anyways, now I have both of them! I really love how the Lyrics to "Hands" are printed on the actual CD? I really liked "Enter from the East" I thought it was great. I also did like "Innocence Maintained", it was a little more up beat than I expected. I didn't care TOO much for the live tracks on the other single, they were nice, but I've heard it preformed better many times I think. But it is nice to have those two live versions in nice CD sound. :) This will tide me over till Tuesday. :) Greg P.S. I got a nice lady at Music World to promise to save me a Jewel "Spirit" promo poster! :) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Nov 1998 20:39:28 PST From: "Greg White" Subject: What does Jewel quote mean? Hi! Does anyone have any idea what the quote on Jewel's "Spirit" CD mean? "We are loved beyond our ability to comprehend" I'm sorry, but I never understand things like this. Did Jewel write that? I loved reading ANWA, but only truley understood the real straight forward poems like "Grimshaw" and "Miracle" and "As a child I walked". I love Jewel's quotes and poems, but just don't always "Get it" I wish I did. Hope no one minds me writing again so soon!
