There was a similar article in the Edmonton newspaper: "Jewel has found someone to serenade with her hit 'You Were Meant For Me.' The singer is dating actor Christopher Douglas. Jewel, who has been on the rebound after her 18-month romance with model Michel Francoeur ended, hasn't been keeping her new affair a secret. People magazine reports that she and Douglas recently limbered up for a workout at a Santa Monica gym with a vigorous makeout session." ~lyn ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Sep 1998 12:53:46 EDT From: KSmith7507@aol.com Subject: Get over it. Dear EDA's, Cmon people get over it. Maybe when you hear the song hands you will realize why she gave the name as her title. Give her some credit I'm sure it's not just some off the wall name she was sitting by the fire and she thought hmmm I don't like spirit maybe I'll call it Hands. No. Also you know what when one of you guys get you CD out their you can name yours "spirit." It's OK not to like it, but it's really stupid to dwell over. Just listen to the CD and then decide if you think hands is an appropriate title. Thats what I'me gonna do. The images were of hands young and old, flexing, touching in love and tenderness, punching, lashing out, whittling, crocheting etc. etc. Maybe only EDAs will know before-hand :) Jewel's saying, "hands manifest thought", but the title can lead others to meditate on hands and come to similar understanding. I give hands two thumbs up! Adrian the word-handy angel ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Sep 1998 16:17:14 EDT From: LilAngeI3@aol.com Subject: [none] Hey EDAs. I don't normally write to everyone much but I was just wondering if anyone saw the MTV news thing where Kurt Loder was talking about Jewel's book and how some guy wrote one saying Jewel's inspired him and he wrote one in 15 min. I think the guy who worte it was kinda making fun of Jewel's. It just mad me mad. Okay, bubye. ~Kacie Lil' Angel ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Sep 1998 16:58:23 -0500 From: kristin Subject: carnivore lyrics, SIBTW Dear EDA's: I was wondering if we ever solved the carnivore lyrics confusion??? Seems the general consensus was one of two possibilities: "You've lived with finer than ingenious, sublety" or "You liquify with an ingenious, sublety" Seems to me we never really came to a conclusion on that one, it still puzzles me cuz they both sorta sound right. ALSO I'd like to hear everyones interpretation of the song, "sometimes it be that way." If you want to tell me line by line, or just generally what you think of any hidden meanings, etc ... I'd be thrilled to hear it. (that song facinates me, and so do other peoples opinions) have a good one ~Kristin~ *The ^UP^ Angel in a Down world* ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 26 Sep 1998 16:17:14 EDT From: LilAngeI3@aol.com Subject: did anyone see MTV news?
