So if you could help -- thank you very much!! Unfortunately, this is one song by Jewel that (to the best of my knowledge) no one has, not even her archivist. It's never been released on anything and as far as I know, she's never performed the song in concert (MrBB can confirm that when he's back from vacation next week). I do remember that one EDA had gotten a hold of a copy taken directly from the video of the film, with all the other sounds during that portion of the film filtered out, but of course it was incomplete as the full song was not in the film....I seem to remember maybe a minute of it in the picture. The EDA even lost the filtered tape, according to a post he made a few months back. Jewel being a fantastic artist and POY being a stellar album are two very different things - and not mutually exclusive, either. As Sean mentioned, Jewel has even said that she feels she has grown immensley since POY (since the Bearsville Sessions, even), and I think it's evidenced in her songs now, and even her musical interpretations of older songs. The more non-POY songs I hear, the more I like Jewel - in a way, I can understand people who are not very into Jewel because all they've heard is POY. I'll play some random live track for friends, and they usually like it, ask who it is, and are surprised to hear it's Jewel. Then again, I never thought her three singles were necessarily the best stuff off POY anyways... alana. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 02 Sep 1998 20:47:22 PDT From: "* Jewel *" Subject: New Album on radio Hey angelz.....on the alternative Chicago radio station out here, they're already promoting Jewel's new album and talking about it...kewl, huh?
