Well...In "Need a Piece of Your Love Machinery", Jewel says "It's been 7 hours and 16 days" as the opening line...which is also the opening line to Prince's/Sinead's Nothing Compares 2 U. Well, I think that it is nice to see all of the sides of Jewel. We get to see her pumped-up concert style performing, her occasionally bubbly interviews, and her more meek side like today on Oprah. With the make-up, without the make-up, rowdy, docile- it's all the same person. Sure we may have heard the stories about her previous in-car life more than several times, but we have to remember that there are so many people out there watching Oprah who might not have even known who Jewel was before today, ya know? It's really not for us to discuss whether or not we approve of her make-up and her Oprah-audience karma(meaning her talkativeness). We are just out there supporting an artist who we respect and admire for her gifts and accomplishments. That's just one girl's view though. Take care all.
