Seems everyone has delusions of knocking us Harrises off at the Bearsville Reunion campout in Woodstock, NY next weekend. Personally, I think that ONLY a team of newbies can do the job (not knowing the horror they are up against, you see), but none have stepped forward! Come out and play, eh? ;-) *** In a post entitled "I Laugh at the Team Harris -- HA HA HA", Rob Campbell said: >You better believe that I will be taking part in whatever blood bath you plan on >participating in. Lemme know when and where. And, a word of advice -- >watch your back, some of those team Harris members might just be double agents ... Disturbing, if true. (But then again, disturbing is our style!) It may be paranoia, but I see a trend here -- check out THESE replies: *** Tom Miles claims that he is "always ready to kick some serious Harris butt." Abel the Quiet Angel threatens me with "numerous injuries (or soon to obtain, anyway)" Billy "The Kid" Bartholomew is gunning for us. Kelly The Up and Coming Angel has "devious plans"! Erica "Puddini" Harris promised "to break lots of rocks, but NOT the equipment!" Well, my stellar laser tag team lineup had this to say: Lauren "the Fearless Harris Sidekick" Bond: >you know I'm always in for a friendly team harris game, count me in! :) Amy Neufeld-Harris: >whatever, sure. Obviously, Team Harris is psyched and ready to lock 'n load! And...who is my third Ring Wraith of sudden infra-red detonation, you ask? THAT I may not reveal until you feel their hot breath on your neck in the wilds of Bearsville! ;-) Always the diplomat, Jewel remains steadfastly silent about this impending storm of faux angel conflict (and quite frankly, our hopes for drafting her grow dim...) Who in their right mind would refuse a chance to roadtrip it to Austin, anyway? ;-) Seriously, gatherings are a VERY hard thing to pull off. I must say that most of the questions were very good and quite unique. However, I was surprised that no-one asked her about the movie that she just finished filming. That experience is very fresh in her mind as she has just wrapped it up and it must have been a whole new phase of life for her and from the little that she has mentioned about acting, it is definitely something that she wants to continue. Recently in her public appearances, she has really only been talking about ther poetry so I thought that these questions would have been the perfect opportunity for someone to ask her about her movie making experience and insights into that. Its definitely "where she's at" right now and it would have been nice to hear her talk about the experience now to the EDA's directly rather that next year when she will be promoting it tothe whole world. I certainly would be interested in hearing about her movie and would have thought other people would have been too. Also, many are writing me asking "When will Jewel's answers be posted?" For those who missed it somehow, recently The EDAs were allowed to submit 20 questions to Jewel, 10 of which Jewel will choose to answer. A 12 member EDA panel narrowed down all the questions submitted to 40 of the best. Then all the EDAs were given the opportunity to vote on these 40. This narrowed it down to the top 20. I gave these 20 questions to Jewel & she'll be picking 10 of them to answer. I will begin posting 2 of Jewel's answers per night, beginning this Sunday evening. I will then continue to post 2 more of Jewel's answers each night, Monday through Thursday next week for a total of 10 answers during those 5 nights in a row. If she answers more than 10 questions, it'll simply continue longer. It all begins in about 48 hours. Stay tuned! :-) MrBB ***************************************** And you may ask yourself: What cool gigs or LRT's are goin' on in my area?? The 12 member panel narrowed those 217 down to 40 for the rest of the EDAs to vote on, but neither of the 2 questions that dealt with the movie garnered enough votes from the panel to make the "top 40" that was given to the list to vote on. All the best, MrBB ******** ******** ******** #1 - MRYLMNRO@aol.com If you were guaranteed honest responses to any three questions, who would you question and what would you ask? @ngEL ******** ******** ******** #2 - How do you feel about not releasing the recordings made at the Bearsville sessions? Many EDAs are concerned that they may never see the light of day - and while we acknowledge that they aren't where you are at right now, many of us feel that they are still very valid pieces in their own right, and wonder what exactly is to become of them. Cheers - Mike ******** ******** ******** #3 - "Kevin Kasten" Jewel, I was wondering if you could share with me and the rest of the EDAs a particularly funny story from your days of living in your car in San Diego and playing in coffee houses there, that you have not previously related to the media in general. Do you look on those days as "good times" in light of your recent fame and fortune and possible lack of free time and anonymity? Did you remain friends? And how do you deal with feelings of "aloneness"? Regina ******** ******** ******** #12 - Sean35RL@aol.co You have commented often in songs like Deep Water, most notably, on how we should strive to achieve and never give up our hopes and dreams, to never settle or compromise. In your climb to success, by refusing to give up your hopes and dreams you are standing proud in the face of a society that strikes down so many who try. However, on the other hand, I am wondering if there are any compromises, sacrifices, or concessions that you now regret making.
