Well i just had fun sitting in front of this screen for the past hour catching up on 100 letters... and most having to do with the new album. Just like Mike, I can't wait for this new album to come out. It doesn't matter if it's new stuff, old stuff, or even christmas stuff (though i know there isn't any on there). What does matter is that it's our Jewel singing. She giving something to us to enjoy, something for us to listen to each and every day, just like we did with POY and all the angel food (which i'm still trying to get more of.. hint hint.. hehe..) ;) She is our JEWEL!!! And no matter what is on the album, i know that each and every one of us, will be in that record store on the day of its release buying it, and taking it home, and listening to it, and getting all emotional, and then coming on here and saying how excellent our Jewel is. :) Love, Jenny * The Always Romantic Angel * ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 May 1998 21:13:07 EDT From: delennmin@juno.com (Kim R) Subject: Re: MrBB-EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS! <> Actually.. I have found that if you e-mail at the tos address (I think it's tosemail1 or something like that.. might be 2 instead) you get a better chance of having it follow through. They get a lot of reports (unfortunately many of them being fake because of feuds between people - trust me.. it happened to me once cause of an annoying person at an aol live chat with Lucy Lawless..) at keyword tos and often will skip over some of never do anything about it.. I'm sorry that I can't remember the exact address but I only had it on my old account and hadn't needed to use it in over 6 months.. You also may have heard or experienced shows with the talent pool of musicians in San Diego and other musicians loved by us. Maybe you thought- "hmm..i wonder how one gets to host a LRT show?" or "I'd sure like to host a LRT show some day!". Well, here's your chance to apply for the bandwagon. Just send your name and location *to me* at: TjtaLken@aoL.com You will recieve an e-mail back with instructions, information and questions within a few days. I am sorry but I'm only accepting United States and Canada applicants (sorry no hawaii or alaska either) at this time. I have been working with Lisa Sanders' and Joy Eden Harrison's Manager, also with Mary Dolan for upcoming tour dates. So for clarification right now I *am not* involved in Steve Poltz's touring plans. - ------------------------------------------------------- And be sure to check out an upcoming LRT on June 14th near Boston, Massachuttes with two local musicians- Liz Stahler and Adrianne Gonzalez. Anyone in the area that wants further information contact Stephanie at kartalst@HUGSE1.HARVARD.EDU or me at TjtaLken@aoL.com Duff ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 May 1998 23:14:57 -0400 From: "Jon Arena" Subject: USA today vote Here it is as of late Sunday- 49% 69 A Night Without Armor: Poems 6% 8 The Horse Whisperer 5% 7 N is for Noose 5% 7 Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... It will be open from 9:00 p.m. (GMT) until everyone gets finished talking everyday of the week. The address is http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Studio/8776/jewel.html go there and at the bottom it will tell you if the chat room is open....I hope that all of the EDA's come and check it out...as long as you talk about Jewel or about music, I might also let my friend use it for a Bon Jovi chat room at other times, I won't boot you but I will not tolerate any sexual talk or anything of that nature.....The only bad thing is that since it is a Tripod Chat room you have to have a Tripod Membership to get in it.....if you don't have one just go to my page and click on the Chat sign and there will be directions on how to get one. I hope you other EDAs come to the next one we're planning or see about getting something going in your area. it really puts a smile on your face and your heart. it's late, and though I'd like to stay awake for the sunrise (Abel & Eric) I really must get some sleep if I plan to get to the beach early tomorrow! (check out Eric Montas' gathering page at http://www.thespis.com/crashboy) i'm so glad i did. i met so many people that i have become really great friends with since then, at a number of different get-togethers. you may have the idea that they aren't for you, or that we're a bunch of wierdos. we're far from that. i've met some incredibly cool people. the best thing about these events is the new people that show up. new people are always warmly welcomed. what they usually have to say at the end of the weekend is what i love the most. they are always amazed at the "EDA phenomenon" as those catchphrasers call it. i just call it people enjoying themselves being who they are, and everyone accepting them for that. and we don't just sit around and talk "Jewel! Jewel! Jewel!" all day long. this past weekend, we barely mentioned her at all. Jewel may be a common thread, but it's not the only thing that keeps us together. if this list was to ever shut down, or if Jewel never played another song, we'd still keep in touch and get together. it's that simple. i know some of you may not have the time, or the means to get there, or may be too young, (or think they're too old) but please, try to go to a gathering if you can. if there isn't one within your travel means, see if you can hitch a ride, or just have your own. you won't regret it if you do, but you may regret it if you don't. just ask anyone that's been to one... (\o/) always crazy, chris :) p.s. Bearsville '98 is perfect for your first gathering! info will be available soon... ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V3 #299 ***************************
