Got this from my Sarah info list... Paul Hey everyone, As we've posted previously, there will be a Lilith Fair Live double-CD coming out *Tuesday, April 28th* on Nettwerk Records in Canada, and Arista Records in the States (it is NOT being released outside of North America). Well, we now have the finalized track listing for the album, which is as follows: Lilith Fair CD #1: 1. Paula Cole - Mississippi 2. Indigo Girls - Scooter Boys 3. Autour de Lucie - Sur Tes Pas 4. We'll keep you posted in relation to any added further details that may come in. I should note that there was certainly an attempt to include many more performers from the tour on this compilation, but they were possibly excluded due to a recording not being up to the exacting standards necessary to make the entire CD a quality collection, or possible legal hassles. So please be aware that if a favourite performer of yours is missing from this collection, we didn't ignore them...it just didn't happen, for one reason or another. You can blame the lawyers, if you so choose. Either that, or El Nino. ;) Also, the official Sarah web site has a new contest, so be sure to check out the details at the '@sarahmclachlan.com' section of the web site. The prize is a 'Sweet Surrender' single, so give the contest your best shot! In touring news, Sarah will be performing in Richmond, Virginia tonight (March 27th) for a sold out performance at the Landmark Theater. She will then wrap up the month of March with three more sold out shows, performing in Towson, MD (March 28th) at the Towson Center, and from there travelling to Providence, RI for a show at the Performance Arts Center (March 29th). Monday, March 30th will be a day off to travel to Wallingford, CT for another sold out show at the Oakdale Theater. And leaping into the first day of April (no fooling!), Sarah and crew will be performing in Portland, ME for a show at the Cumberland Co. Civic Centre, which is sold out, as well. >From there, Sarah will travel up to Montreal for her scheduled appearance on MusiquePlus (French off-shoot of MuchMusic), and another live 'Intimate & Interactive' appearance on *Thursday, April 2nd*, further details of which we'll provide next week. MusiquePlus will also be re-broadcasting 'Sarah McLachlan: Fumbling Towards Ecstacy Live' (which was actually recorded in 1994 in Montreal at the Olympic Theatre) on *Saturday, March 28th* at 8pm (EST). ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Mar 1998 16:53:41 -0600 (CST) From: "James H. Pardon the NJC,but for all those able...we have a day planned on Wednesday the 8th of April. As my friend Alex previously posted we are daring a run to the famous Six Flaggs Magic Mountain during spring Break. This is a great time to experience Magic Mountain as they always have great festivities and such for the week (such as X-games demos, radio stations, etc.) and I know they are opening at least one (if not two) New rides just b4 that week...so perhaps you can see why we felt this would be the time to go. All are welcome to meet us there or at my home as the house will be buzzing with EDA's from all over the state and all are welcome. Feel free to email me (or Alex at DmBear978@aol.com ) concerning the details...for those of you that can come, just connecting with the EDA's from away will be worth it...I guarantee interesting times if nothing else... ;) Take Care My friends.. It's a German import CD single that some reported seeing & hearing about online. It may also be released in other European countries later on, but no domestic release is currently planned. There is no CD single of "Morning Song" being released in the US. I'm not sure if any bonus tracks, alternate versions or remixes are included. Since I believe it has been released in Germany, perhaps a German EDA can soon enlighten us all as to exact contents. Best wishes, MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Mar 1998 22:24:19 EST From: ABershaw Subject: MrBB - Message from JEWEL to the EDAs Good evening, Jewel asked me to forward this message to all of you. Enjoy! MrBB ***************************************** Dear EDA's Well, here I am in Kansas, doing my first film. It feels pretty strange. It's simultaneously the most exhilerating and horrifying endeavor I've under-taken in a while, but a welcome one also. It's been long days preparing--learning the dialect and mannerisms of the region, as well as trying to transform myself from a musician to an actor in 2 weeks. I'm still not sure how its coming, but if nothing else I have been learning alot and enjoying the process. Needless to say, one of the hardest parts of acting is getting up at 4:30 am! That means going to bed by 8:30 or 9 every night which is against every shred of musician-fibre in me. Oh--the traumas of being a little movie starlet.(Hee Hee) Im still writing songs, lullabyes(go figure) and Civil War tunes. Mostly my spare energy has gone toward finishing my poetry book which will be released on May 19. God, I hope I can feel proud of it, or at least satisfied. Its a little bit more personal to release. Well, nothing ventured nothing ....blah blah. Most of all I hope you all enjoy it. Cant tell you how much I appreciate your support of me even when Im so much less visible to you. And by the way, I love how you support music in general. Its so important to listen to and encourage developing artists. Love to you all, Jewel PS- Happy BDay to Mr. BB yesterday! Take good care of him! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 28 Mar 1998 22:49:17 EST From: JewelWN2BE Subject: NJC: Sarah McLachlan concert in Richmond, Virginia - SJC: Rumours album Sender: owner-jewel@smoe.org Precedence: bulk Hello fellow angels!!! Those of you who are reading this are probably Sarah McLachlan fans as well as Jewel fans.... I just wanted to tell you that the concert last night (friday) was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I had SOOO much fun and I actually got to meet a fellow EDA.... the lovely Misssssssss Hilary!!! ;o) hehe! I had my blue EDA shirt on so I was hoping to possibly run into some fellow angels... but Hil was the only one I talked to. I saw one other person wearing a Jewel t-shirt tho.... but i didn't get to say hi... oh well... anyways...if ANYONE at all gets the chance to see Sarah in concert....PLEASE DO!! She was amazing. She did an absolutely WONDERFUL JOB and gave a terrific show! She sang EVERY song I could think of....whew. Anyways... I'm really excited about the Lilith Fair CD. Even tho Jewel will only be on one track, it's still okay. I can't wait!! Its gonna be awesome!! I just bought the Rumors tribute to Fleetwood Mac album. Its REALLY good and Jewel's version of "You Make Lovin' Fun" is sooo cool! I love it! I suggest everyone should get it! There's also VERY good songs by The Cranberries, Matchbox 20, Tonic, Elton John, Dunkin Sheik, etc...!! By the way, I was wondering if anyone has guitar tabs for the songs "Old Lover's House" and "Impala" by Jewel/Steve Poltz. I'm also looking for Jewel's "501 Beauty Queen" and "Sweedish Song". PLease let me know if you have them!! THANKS A BUNCH!!! This may be what happened *last* time, but I don't think that the release of "Morning Song" would cause her album to be postponed any longer than it would without the single. The new album would not come out anytime soon anyway because she is working on the movie, right? Why not let the single be played while she's working on the movie? I'm not *too* concerned with the new album coming soon because- Hey, her poetry book is coming out, she's making a movie, *and* we have all this Angelfood! I wouldn't ask for much more....but then when the new album comes out she might be touring again! WooooHooooo! Exciting! <3 JuliaRose the blue angel (I hope no one took this name yet) who is making plans on seeing Jewel *live* in a couple years.... ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V3 #191 ***************************
