CLB's last CD (Garage Orchestra) & her current CD (Straight Outta Marysville) are somewhat difficult to find in many areas of the USA & several people have asked me how to order them. For those interested, both of these CDs can easily be ordered directly from Cindy Lee herself. She still has a limited supply of 1st pressings of each that you can purchase for $15 each & that includes shipping. She'll also be happy to autograph them on request. If you'd like to order either or both of these CD's simply send an email to: paul@cdaddy.com with "CLBCD" in the subject line. Indicate quantity & titles of which ones you'd like to order along with your name & adress (& if you'd enjoy an autographed copy). They'll email you back specific instructions & confirm your order. That simple. If you are outside the USA, I'm not sure what procedure is, but I know they'll try to work it out or advise you on where to get them. They seem to already have good distribution in Europe & Canada. I personally love both of these albums & "Garage Orchestra" is one of my favorite albums period. If you like what youre hearing by CLB on FF3, you'll love these albums. :-) MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Mar 1998 04:56:08 -0500 (EST) From: Sean Hooks Subject: Forgotten show referred to the Grand Rapids show Just wanted to clarify. The post I sent about that forgotten Jewel song/show I posted about contained a setlist. That setlist was from the 5/12/96 Grand Rapids show, not the Tradewinds show from that tour that I compared to it. I now see that my wording could be construed as saying that the setlist referred to the set at the Tradewinds when actually it referred to the Grand Rapids show. I already have a tape of the Tradewinds show, and I was there. So sorry if I confused anyone, that setlist was Later, Sean Hooks Sender: owner-jewel@smoe.org Precedence: bulk ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Mar 1998 00:34:16 EST From: Love1612 Subject: YM magazine picture I remembered someone posting about Jewel in YM(Young&Modern magazine) and I was wondering which page and issue her picture and quiz was on/in. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Here in Winnipeg there's a news program on CBC called 24 Hours. A friend of mine told me that Jewel did an interview on it late last week. She figured I knew it was going to be on because I USUALLY know when she's going to be on tv (partially thanks to you guys!!:-)) The interview, according to my parents was about Native issues. She and Lendra were in Manitoba (when I'm not sure) helping out (?) with Native problems. Jewel was talking about how she agrees with their way of life, the natural remedies they use, etc. Anyway, to get to the point, I MISSED IT. :-( I was wondering if anyone knows if the TV stations will sell me a copy of the tape and if so, who would I ask for? I'd really like to hear what she had to say on the issue. Hopefully someone will have read this post and will be able to help me out, even a little!? Thank you. What a drag..... Some of this isn't exactly anyone's fault here because several major radio stations have contributed in perpetuating ridiculous stories. So let me squash flat the two biggest BS stories currently circulating right now. First, Jewel is NOT, I repeat NOT dating Jean Claude Van Damme. She doesn't even know him. This is totally false & completely ridiculous. Yes, I heard it on the radio, too. It's BS. Period. *Added note from the Jewel list moderator: for those now confused, there were NO posts *on the list* about this, however I had well received over 2 dozen posts since Friday about it. I wasn't going to send any through until MrBB had a chance to talk with Lenedra about it. I didn't see a need for another 'totally rumor' thread. Please send all commentary on this topic to ducksoup@spectra.net and not the list or MrBB - Mike :-) Second, there is absolutely NO JEWEL DOLL. People test market things every day. That means nothing. Jewel & Lenedra knew nothing about anything like this & were laughing at the mere suggestion of it. Since it can't be done without their permission, there's no reason to concern yourself about it. So please stop getting upset and/or excited (whichever the case may be) and maybe let's find something just a bit more relevant to discuss. Now, onto some truly exciting news: Confirmed Steve Poltz Tour Dates-(more to come) 3/20 - Wilbert's, Clevaland, OH 3/21 - Java, Royal Oak, MI 3/22 - Uncommon Ground, Chicago, IL 3/23 - The Intersection, Grand Rapids, MI 3/24 - York St. Cafe, Newport, KY 3/25 - Rosebud, Pittsburgh, PA 3/26 - Metro Cafe, Washington, D.C. 3/27 - The Mercury Lounge, New York, NY 3/28 - The Java Hut, Belmar, NJ 3/30 - Tin Angel, Philadelphia, PA 3/31 - Kendall Cafe, Cambridge, MA I hope everyone is well & can rest easy now. ;-) MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Mar 1998 15:48:44 EST From: Brandis850 Subject: NJC: Steve Poltz I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that has any, um, "poltz"-food? I was also wondering if I could get a hold of a bunch of Jewel quotes from somewhere, has someone have a collection of them on there homepage? Also, in my new acoustic guitar magazine, right at the front there's an add for d'Addario guitar strings, it has a huge picture os jewel [very pretty] playing old yeller and it says "In concert and in studio, Jewel only plays D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Gitar Strings." just though you may be interested! Personally I think the doll idea is ridicules... but if they absolutely have to make it... i just sincerely hope that it's realistic.. not like huge breasts, extremely small waist and hips. I don't know about you guys but when i wrote to jeweljk@aol.com, I got a very unpersonal response... it was just a list of things that we can buy...
