Bye:) Dear EDA's, I few months back, Kacy Crowley was mentioned in the "Time Magazine" with Jewel on the cover. Any ways, I posted to the list when "Anchorless" was scheduled to be released, and I said she sounded more like Sheryl Crow then Jewel. I never bought the CD, so if anyone out there has something informative to say about Kacy Crowley's debut album, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks. I was wondering why it took so long for people to find out about it? When it came out, there was scarce mention of it, and suddenly its the thing to buy. Hmmm just a thought. . . Also, did anyone ever get the lyrics for Jewels new song Kiss the Flame? I just heard it on a new tape, and I liked it, but I thought that when she sings "flaaaame" she sings it too high. . . maybe a lower key would sound better, I dunno. Anyone else hear it? In the February issue of Seventeen, they feature a new artist named Kacy Crowley, calling her "The Next Jewel". I was just curious if anyone had heard her and their opinions on her being nearly as talented as Jewel herself. Also, I got some more tapes, so please Email me at OnlyAngel4U@yahoo.com for info on angelfood dubbing/trading!! Sunshine Superman by Donovan Sunshine came softly through my window today I could have tripped out easy but I've changed my ways. It'll take time I know it, but in a while... You're gonna be mine and I know it, we'll do it in style. Cause I've made my mind up you're going to be mine I'll tell you right now... Any trick in the book, oh baby, that I can find. Everybody's hustling just to have a little scene. When I say we'll be cool, well, I think that, you know what I mean. We stood on a beach at sunset, do you remember when... I know a beach where baby, it never ends. When you've made your mind up forever to be mine. I'll pick up your hand and slowly, blow your little mind. Cause I've made my mind up you're going to be mine I'll tell you right now... Any trick in the book, oh baby, that I can find Superman or Green Lantern ain't got, nothin' on me. I can make like a turtle and dive for pearls in the sea You can just sit there thinkin', on your velvet throne About all the rainbows you can have for your own. When you've made your mind up forever to be mine. I'll tell you right now... I'll pick up your hand and slowly, blow your little mind. When you've made your mind up forever to be mine. As Mike also reminded us, she'll be the last guest that Dave has on, which means that she probably won't be on until 12:20am at the earliest...if not 12:25am :) Or, tune in for the whole show and catch Dave's other guests, model Elle MacPherson and actor Vince Vaughn, plus his nightly Top Ten List :) :) The show is a repeat from June 2nd of last year. Jewel sings "Foolish Games" (as Mike remembers) and then is interviewed at the very end of the show for like 45 seconds ... during which she manages to get in a pretty good line or two, if I remember right. Anyway, she's on at the very end of the show, from like 12:20am until 12:37am if you want to be hyper-exact with your VCR settings :) Letterman, tonight (Monday), 11:35pm Eastern & Pacific (USA), CBS-TV. She really proved that she loves signing and believes every word. After her set, I went to the exit to congratulate her on the show. I feel very fortunate to have spoken to Jewel and have been two-three meters away, yet now I regret not having said more.
