A larger picture and a half page article inside are part of an titled "The most powerful people in their 20's." Jewel looks young in the picture, not that she is old now. I only had five minutes to read it before class and it isn't my magazine. I did request to have it when it was going to be thrown away so hopefully if no one else posts what the article said, I will have it some time in the future. Well, a lot of people have all the luck. They live in civilization. Here in Boise, Idaho we don't get much in the way of concerts or anything for that fact. I have seen Jewel. March 7, 1996, she came to Boise and played at a local club. There were only about 40 people there. (not many people had heard of her then!). Sarah McLachlan & Madeleine Peyroux were supposed to come Nov. 11 but no....IT WAS CANCELLED... But there are a few decent music stores, so that helps. Jewel is really what started my new (as of last year) taste(s) in music. Going from Metallica to Jewel is a big jump but I am glad I did switch. I have no idea why I am posting this. Jewel was one of the guests on this mornings (Thursday) Big Breakfast TV programme on Channel 4. She hung around for most of the 2 hour show, but only appeared on screen for about 10 minutes or so. She chatted briefly with the presenters a couple of times, gave a yodelling lesson to the studio crew, and had an short interview later in the show. Finally she sang YWMFM, but this lasted only about a minute before the show ended. The previous night Jewel appeared on the National Lottery Live show on BBC1. She had three "musicians" behind her, bass guitar, acoustic guitar and drums, but I'm pretty sure they weren't playing. It sounded like Jewel was singing over the backing track of the YWMFM single.
