Hi! Nice to be back in "regular" conversation...missed you all! I was just wondering if anybody out there has guitar tablature for more of Jewel's unreleased songs than the "normal" page has. I'm specifically looking for Last Dance Rodeo or Sometimes It Be That Way, but I'd love any others people happen to have. Thanks so much! Most of you probably don't recognize me. I am "joe", formerly goat@voyager.net, and founder of the JEWELry project and stuff. My e-mail address has changed several times over the past few weeks (problems with my former service provider, and a switch over at my current one). Anyhow...I just wanted to let you know that I am me, and if you have questions about the JEWELry project, please address them to me, rather than goat@voyager.net, since that account has been killed (i think). joe ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Nov 1997 20:45:46 -0500 From: Anil Banatwala Subject: Can Jewel Act ? No this isn't about her new movie deal. I was wondering something about the validity of Jewel. I'll try to make this quick 'cause I've got to study for five minutes and then watch x-files...ok I know that most of you Jewel ancients have met her personally and even hung out with her. I remember watching her on Hard Rock live and how she was all nice to everyone and hugging and smiling. But she might be like that all the time or for publicity...I don't know...But I figure some of you that know her well and have *spent* time eith her and not just smiled and taking a picture would know better. This probably sounds confusing, but... *basically* ...for those of you who know her as a friend I just want to know what Jewel is like in person...I know it's a vague question, but I wanted to know whether she was just all happy for the camera, or if she's a happy person... If you have an actual amusing anticdote or a story of any kind please tell me 'cause it interests me a lot... I like the old mailing-list-version better---the way it will be...just thought I'd drop that in... ByeBye, - ---aNiL tHe ElLiPsEs AnGeL P.S.--please e-mail back, i hate not being responded to... ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Nov 1997 22:02:37 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: Jewel webcasts and Bearsville Studios page Hi everyone, The other night I stumbled upon a fairly new web page for the Bearsville Studios. This is where Jewel recorded during the summer of 1996 for her next CD and there's a page on the site about the Bearsville Theatre (one mile from Woodstock NY) where JewelStock happened. No pictures of Jewel, but there's a good wide-angle shot of the inside of the theatre (pleasant memories for those of us who were there :) It seems Dennis Harris may have truly broken the seats he was jumping on the second night of Jewelstock to DRAG Jewel out for the 3rd encore, as the picture shows that whole area barren of seats ;) You can find it at http://www.bearsvillestudios.com There's also some Woodstock links on the page, including one for WDST, the Woodstock FM radio station. They seem to have frequent webcasts/programs on the site and had one for Jewel on November 4th (we just missed it!) which appears to be her gig at the Tinker Street Cafe from August 1995. Seeing how they'll likely repeat some shows from time to time, and not to mention OTHER high profile artists who frequent the Woodstock area (The Rolling Stones, Blues Traveler, Natalie Merchant, REM, Metallica and MANY more), you might want to check out this WDST site from time to time to hear some rare music from these artists (Including this Jewel gig :) Go here and click on the "Audio Stream" area: http://www.radiowoodstock.com Mike :) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Nov 1997 22:19:50 -0500 (EST) From: Uberalis Subject: *SJC* Glad to be back i guess? Now that was funny! But all in all, SNL isn't what it once was, and they was been making fun a celebs for years, and Jewel should feel honord that they spent time to write a really crappy sketch about her! I feel much better about the snl skit. I = guess it really does show that she's made the big time. My question is = about the jewel cd single. It says it has the YWMFM and FG album = singles on it but someone said the radio FG was on it too. Is this true? = Also, does anyone know where to get the Jewel import cd with FG radio = version, Angel needs a ride, and Everything breaks? I really would like = to get it. I didn't see it but, it's like get over it! Jewel was probably too busy to watch common t.v. so she'll probably never see it, and if she does, she'll more than likely be like yeah, whatever, who gives a rats ass. So stop trying to be all hurt for Jewel, when she wouldn't even care. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Nov 1997 00:21:16 -0500 (EST) From: JewelEDA21@aol.com Subject: Lilith Fair II peeps?
