She was talking about how she's 18 now....and how her new album should be out in March 1998. She also went on to mention her influences which she said were Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Jewel! They showed a short clip of Foolish games after she mentioned Jewel. Brandy said that when she'd listen to her fave. artists she'd have to go back to the studio and do her songs over because she'd pick up little things from them that she wanted to use herself. I thought this was pretty cool..... We'll volunter at a shelter for Thanksgiving and then have our own on Friday. Friday night we will then head to Java Joe's to see some wonderful musicians. Joe from Java Joe's has invited us to stay the night after the show. Jewel is scheduled to perform. The venue has not been announced, that I know of, but I'm sure one of Florida EDAs can figure it out & report back. Ticket info can likely be found soon on Sarah's site or Lilith Fair site. (Sorry, I don't have those URLs) Also a reminder that Jewel's next release will be a live version of "You Were Meant For Me" on The Late Show CD. This hits stores on November 18th. This is the Letterman show version with Flea on bass recorded live on 9/2/96. Its on the Reprise label.
