Hey, guys, I just wanted to see what it means when the cd says "not for individual sale", is this illegal? I found a copy of Save the Linoleum and the guy said he'd hold it for me for two days. He sold it out from under me the next day, and I was wondering if this is illegal? I mean, I don't want to get him in trouble, but he went back on his word, and I wonder what I could do to let him know that I was upset, or something. I am just so upset that he did this to me. He even denied that he promised to hold it. He had written my name down and my guess is he conveniently destroyed it. It was a CD Warehouse. Does anybody know? Thanx to my cable-provider, I'm able to watch a Taiwanese entertainment news program (a la Entertainment Tonight) everday after midnight (you can tell that I'm a faithful follower of that show, since I have school the next day). Anyway, the show is called E-News, and last nite they reported on Jewel's Taiwan visit on Oct. 1! I know, I know, due to reasons beyond my comprehension, the show usually broadcast the episode aired couple of days ago. The news may be old but I was very glad to see Jewel chatting with reporters, in a press conference attended by reporters from six countries! Jewel talked (in English, not Chinese) to the Taiwanese interviewer about her life prior to InnerChange, when she bounced from one thankless job to another, and was fired from all of them before she decided to move into her van. The reporter noted that Jewel is only twenty-three, but has already appeared on various magazine covers such as Rolling Stone and TIME (the interviewer held up that special issue of TIME to everyone, much to the delight of Jewel), and her debut album has sold six million copies in U.S...no small feat to accomplish. The Jewel-segment ends with Jewel, armed with her guitar (no, it's not Big Blue) and sang WWSYS and Satellite acoustically. Jewel looked radiant, dressed in tight-fitting black shirt with a matching pants. Her face had a good layer of cosmetics, but she seemed relaxed and cheerful (no dark circles under her eyes from jet lags were sighted). Hopefully, E-News will report her second day in Taiwan before she headed to the Land of Rising Sun. That's it for my report. I'm sure by now everyone's heard about the incredible FREE concert going on this weekend :). Yes, it's true, a whole slew of EDAs will be attending. I went last year ( when Jewel was playing ), and it was a great show. Jewel won't be there this year but aLOT of people are. Therefore... woohoo.. EDA gathering ! EDAs will be meeting on Sunday, October 12th, at the concert. The preformers on Sunday are Duncak Sheik, Lisa Loeb, Paula Cole, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan, and Tara MacLean ( or so I've heard ). I'll be imperative to get there EARLY on sunday morning. They're expecting a huge crowd. I live about 1 1/2 hours from Boston, and I'll be leaving around 6 AM to try to grab a spot. HOW TO FIND THE EDAs: Look for the blue helium balloon with EDAs written on it :). It worked really well last year. It'll have a 10 foot or so string on it, so it'll be pretty visible. Once we get enough EDAs to secure our spot, we can move off in groups to grab food, check out the booths, etc. last year the EDAs left before the big act, Spin Doctors began playing , but I have the feeling we'll be staying longer this year :). However, we ALSO will be getting together for dinner after the show. I don't know where yet... kind of a touch and go kinda thing :).
