Johnson" Subject: NJC(major): my thoughts on the growth of the EDAs Warning, this is a long post with no Jewel Content. If you are an anti-NJC, delete it now. I think it's the swamping of new people that has come about because of the list address being included in a couple of magazine articles that has gotten on some peoples nerves. I'm not upset about the new people, but I can see some of the disadvantages. It's great to hear new voices, but the increased numbers can lead to decreased closeness between some of the older EDAs. People have to limit what they post when there are so many list members (how many are there now?), so that the server doesn't become overloaded. Also, some of the new people joining the list want just Jewel, which is only a part of the concept of the EDAs. That's what partially what the other list (Innocence Maintained, I think it's called) is for. Anyways, I think that after a while, the new people (and some older members) either get settled in or they decide that this isn't really what they wre looking for. So basically, what I am saying that these conflicts are basically "growing pains", from the increased popularity. I guess we couldn't keep such a good thing to our selves and still be called Everyday Angels, could we? Those are my thoughts. I didn't intend them to be so lengthy. If anyone wants to flame me, it won't do any good, because I am who I am. But if you are looking for someone to flame, better me than someone else. Here's an update on the projects I'm working on. EDA Concert -- It's going to be somewhere in Southern California.
