McLachlan will be previewing the Lilith II line-up at a mid-December concert in West Palm Beach, Florida, a state that the first Lilith line-up had to bypass last summer. Florida is on the itinerary for next year, and ten other performers are expected to join McLachlan at the December preview show. Folks who missed the first Lilith go-round, and who can't make it to Florida for the December show, can sample a double-album of Lilith '97 performances which will arrive in March of 1998. In other McLachlan news, the Canadian singer was in a Vancouver courtroom on Monday for a hearing in a lawsuit filed against her by one Daryl Neudorf. As we first reported in August, Neudorf charges that he as never credited for four songs he co-wrote with McLachlan in 1988 for her debut album, "Touch." McLachlan denies the charge, and the case has been continued to a later date. - --Taken from MTV.com. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, if anyone has the list of performers for this weekend's benefit for Frank Drennen at Java Joe's that would be of interest to me. For those of you not familiar with this benefit, it involves one of San Diego's best singer/songwriters: Frank Drennen. Years ago, he and Jewel used to do shows at various coffeeshops in SD. He's a beloved friend of many from the SD music community and a wonderful talent as well. For more information on the benefit either contact me, email the band loamfan@connectnet.com, or go to Java Joe's in Ocean Beach, CA this weekend. In any case, if anyone has the list of performers playing on their designated dates, please let me know. Thanks. Foolish Games was not inspired by it, of course. They just call all music on soundtracks from and inspired by. The only reason why Jewel was on the Soundtrack was because Atlantic is a subdivision of Warner Bros. It was just another way to promote her music, and another reason for people to buy the soundtrack. Let's just thank GOD that there were no clips from the movie in the video. If that would have happened, then the video would loose its mood. - -----Original Message----- From: Lepper To: jewel@smoe.org Date: Thursday, October 02, 1997 12:40 PM Subject: Inspired by? >I never noticed this before, but in the credits of Foolish Games (the >video), there's a caption "Music from & Inspired by Batman & Robin"... >then I got to thinking, Foolish Games was written and being sung before >B&gR was even a notion in somebody's head in Hollywood..
