I was dubbing a Jewel song (You're in Cleveland, to be exact), for a friend, and I forgot to switch the tape selector from "Norm" to "High". (I was copying from a RealAudio file to a type II cassette). It sounds okay, but I was wondering if this causes any adverse effects, or just the inability to capture "CD-like sound" (not that my .ra file had that). Ok, this is a bit of random information(kinda like a sidenote): On the week in rock on MTV, they did a 5 min. thing on Christian Rock. Uh, oh...I said the 'C' word!! Yes, I am striving for Christian Rock/alternative music to be played more often cause the stuff we're hearing ain't all about happy days and sunshine. Theres gotta be hope in something, and Jewel + Christian artists like Jars Of Clay/Steve Curtis Chapman have been making that optimistic POV of life ever attainble. Who knows of whats to become of this...I'll tell ya now, its not going to easy for me. No sir! This group called EveryDay Angels...what a name! Thanks to you all. POY in it's 22nd week in has jumped up again rising from #9 to #6 while Foolish Games in it's 2nd week has risen 12 spots to #33, while YWMFM seems to be slowy fading dropping 7 positions to #22 in it 20th week in. I've only posted twice before and only for angelfood, so I thought I'd write a little note to you all. Since I became a part of this list, about 10 months ago, I have found that there are so many wonderful people out there! You guys really are the best! I have one angel in particular, Tom, who has been the greatest, sending me angelfood and whatnot. But you all are wonderful, those I've communicated with and those I have not met yet. I am only 15, but I try my hardest to carry my Angel-ism into every day life. I am a peer counselor at my school, and this year especially I have helped a lot of freshman (I'm a junior) stay out of fights and stay away from drugs. Outside of school, I spend every Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at the local shelter, feeding the homeless and trying to help them with financial aid. I also work on a suicide hotline, and I council all of my friends through tough times. You wouldn't think that I would have enough experience at 15 to do all of these things, but unfortunately I have been through numerous traumatic experiences. I have learned from them that what doesn't kill you, only makes your stronger. My heart is no longer filled with guilt and pain, and pent up anger. Its filled with love and true empathy. I hope I didnt take up too much space. I just wanted you to know who I am, in case anyone ever needs to talk I am always here, ALWAYS!! If you wanna talk or you just need someone to listen, I'm here for you.
