I'm 19 years old and go to Sonoma State University where I'm a freshmen. I got attached to Jewel during thes summer which was a time of transition for me. After my high school graduation, they played "You Were Meant For Me", and that song caused me to feel a sense of sadness because of the truth in it. For me, when I heard the song comment, "I feel so far from where I've been", it is so true. Sometimes in this new environment I get depressed but in Jewel, I find something I can relate to which gives me a sense of peace. All of my suite mates love Jewel and sing along to her songs on the radio and my CD. I have gotten many requests to borrow it. Well, I live in Rohnert Park which is near Santa Rosa and Petaluma and if you don't know where that is, it's sort of off of Napa. I moved here from Alamo which is near Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Danville, San Ramon area. I love to write and to analyze things. I remember listening to Jewel on a talk show where she spoke of differences and how people tend to separate others from themselves based on different religious perspectives which is the basis of her song, "Who Will Save Your Soul". My favorites are "You Were Meant For Me" and "Foolish Games" which whenever I hear, I think about a friend whom I have lost recently. Well, that's me. It's great to hear from everyone. I like to think that i am a pretty smart person....i do very well in school....all As and im in the Advanced classes...when i go to college im going to double major in Music and English...I am planning to become a professional musician...I play the flute....so that makes me a flutist...( pronounced: fl-oow-tist....not fl-u-tist.). i was really set on becoming a solo artist...but then i decided not to...i would really enjoy working with a symphonic orchestra better....i love all kinds of music....i prefer alternative, classical, jazz, and easy listening....my favorite artists... I think I had a permanent smile for about a week afterwards. She was, well, I can't even describe in words how wonderful the concert was. And when she was on MTV Unplugged, well, I've just about memorized every note of the entire show. I recently got a Jewel poster and am trying to aquire all the audio files I can find, I just want to hear more and more of her music.
