Hello fellow EDAs, Tim here... 0=) Well, being that San Diego's 9/20 show was my very FIRST Jewel concert - I am extremely desperate in obtaining something from that show!!!! I, being the intelligent person that I am (SARCASM), bought one of those portable cameras - and didn't even check to realize that it didn't have a FLASH option!! (I'm way too cheap!) ;) Also, it was just not possible for me to have gotten a recording. =*( So, I was left taking mental pictures and mental recordings - which, as I'm sure you guys know: fade all too fast. :( Therefore, I am BEGGING for the assistance of my EDAs! Come to my rescue guys! :) If any of you have pictures and/ or recordings of the show, and you are willing to send me copies - I would be forever grateful!! =) This show was the best thing that I have EVER been a part of, and I just would like to have some physical proof - to immortalize it. (i bet you didnt see that coming). it wasnt me who did it it was Phillip (pres2@juno.com). there was this fight today at school between two gangstas. at first it wasnt big but then one of them got a metal pole and started beating the other one with it! he hit him 3 times in the head before Phillip jumped in and grabbed the pole and pinned the guy down to stop him then one of our other friends did the same to the other one. I was about to cry and i wasnt even involved! imagine what phillip was like! i mean these guys were REAL shot-em-up gangstas. well, we (they) finally broke it up. i think there just going to fight again but it was still AWSOME (sp?) of Phillip thats why i LOVE him so much!!! With Jewel's "Common Ground" benefit show having occurred this past weekend, it is anticipated that questions will be brought up on the general Jewel list about the status of the EVERYDAY ANGELS FOUNDATION (EDAF). Common Ground and the EDAF are separate groups, although we do hope to work together in the future. Efforts to establish an EDA-based charitable foundation were begun earlier this year. After much work and spirited discussion, the group has now largely established its structure and direction. A letter to the general Jewel list will be posted within the next week explaining how to obtain more information about the EDAF. We hope many of the EDAs will join us in making a difference in our communities, and truly live up to the moniker of "EveryDay Angels". As per the requests of the Jewel@smoe.org list owner and manager, we do NOT want to see the EDAF develop into a thread on this list! We will have a separate EDAF list on which to discuss this project. So let's please hold off discussing this topic until we can get everyone informed of exactly where we stand first! Thanks angels. We finally get into Canada and meet Steve Ito, my BarbaFriend and then later at the CD store... Nath and Gian.. I want yall to know that I ACTUALLY found "The Party" CD.. yall remember them... the band from the Mickey Mouse Club..needless to say I bought that baby... Ok, the concert was awesome! Instead of wearing my usual BRIGHT YELLOW HAT, I wore a paper halo of multi-colored people, which Emm like a lot.. She said it was very ... excuse the spelling... Benninton or Bennington.. can't quite remember... Sarah Slean said..."uh ok..." to my pudding. I absolutely loved Sarah, and Sarah loved... well, Glen Gould... If yall weren't wondering already why it says "Sarah Slean/Emm Gryner/Erica Cavallo Concert"...here comes the part when *I* steal the show... Emm started talking about how Tom, Vicki, and I came all the way from the US, and then she called *ME* to come up on stage and show everyone my halo of people... There's my 2 minute of fame and fortune... Later on she dubbed me "Bennington/Benninton Girl" and gave me Microwavable "Hot and Spicey" Pork Rinds... After the concert we all hung out.... and then went back to Steve's house and slept. Next day, Kitty turned from white to black ... we went CD shopping, I didn't get anything becuase I was like... broke. Then Tom, Vicki, and I desended on what was, the WAY-longer-than-we-expected trip home... We went to Niagra Falls and the Hard Rock Cafe. At the HRC the waitress spilled Salsa on my Trench Coat, so now I get to have it dry cleaned for free... on them!!! WOO HOO!!! I got home at 3am. Nuff Said... Thanks to everyone for a GREAT time...
