I talked to a guy at Fred Meyer about the xplicit lyrics thing, and I'm not sure he was right baout this, but he sounded like he knew what he was talking about. He said that the explicit lyrics thing is not based on swear words unless there is a ridiculous amount of them. Rather, it is about the content or message in the lyrics. He mentioned Pieces Of You, for example. It talks about beating a faggots brain in, and hating a jew's kids. Granted, she does not condone these things. Rather, she speaks against them, but the guy's point is that the warning is there because the content is there and the idea is there. And I could see how a little kid could take that song the wrong way. It doesn't specifically speak against those things. It says "you say he's a faggot, do you want to kick in his brain" now her point is that the people that hate them do so because they are afraid that they might be the same way deep down, in her words they might be "pieces of you". but a little kid doesn't know that. the little kid hears that someone wants to kick in someone's brain because they are a faggot. Anyways, that's what I think this whole explicit lyrics thing is about. Anyone agree/disagree?
