If none of the presenters and performers did, it would make them look pale and sick. Granted, it may have been a little much, but still you have to put a little more on than usual if you're going to be on T.V. or movies magazines, etc. As for being conceited, I don't think she is, but I do think she is letting the producers etc., of the record company take too much control on how the songs should sound. Take for example, Foolish Games. I really don' t think the radio ready version has much feeling and I've heard many people say that. Words are rushed and it just doesn't seem like she showed much emotion as the first time it was recorded or performed. I think the piano and just the singing add so much to the song and make the song. The rest of the instruments take away from it, from the simplicity and the vocals. That's the problem with record companies, but if you want to be signed, you have to comply. It sucks, but its life in the music industry. She is young, but has been through more than most of us, so cut her some slack on the conceited thing, if you were in the position she was in, I'm sure you'd, as well as anyone, would seem conceited. One more thing, many musicians on stage are totally different off stage. Some are quiet usually, but when on stage seem totally different, i.e., Eddie Vedder I'm the same way when I perform and I'm definitely not conceited. Well that's it. Not trying to harp on you, just explain a little bit.
