I apparently missed other comments to this affect sorry..but a comment I'd like to make is that I did not see Jewel's perfomance, just yet, only her acceptance speech. I feel that regardless of how popular a performer you become, an artist *should always* thank his or her fans. Because without us/them, that artist would be little. I fully realize that her Mom and Atlantic Records helped her more than we will ever know, but ya'know..we helped Ms. Kilcher become "Jewel" more than she will ever know. So she rather disappointed me in that regards and certainly dims the auroa of seeing her shine again. I just got done watching a repeat of the VMA's and Jewel's performance. She is so rad. (I apologize but I have not yet been able to watch the VMA, so what I am about to put out is based on what I have read.) Jewel was "scheduled" to play Foolish Games but instead arrived onstage alone to play "Angel Standing By." Now in recent performances, FG has been played with full band accompaniment (notably the piano). So my question is: What happened to the band? Did Jewel just say, "Don't worry, I'll do this one alone?" Did the band even accompany Jewel to the VMA? Or was there perhaps a mix up resulting in the band being unable to play? If anyone knows, I'd be interested. Kneep! Silence waits for the moment to reveal itself. It beckons. It stretches out its arms.
