He wasn't too shabby. Not great either...but...So he was serious about writing those songs. I have some information for you all...Sheryl Crow wrote very little of the music on Tuesday Night Music Club...though she does partake in the credit for the songs. I like her and all...but she doesn't write ALL of her songs. As for him saying that she stole them...i'm sure he was saying so in jest...if i remember correctly...proper credit was given...it's just that Crow made them well-known. I think he's still an excellent songwriter but up on stage he looked very uncomfortable and it showed in his performance. I must admit I felt sorry for him tho when some putz sitting behind me started loudly heckling the guy. Keep in mind this was the same fool who kept yelling "take it off" while Jewel was performing. To top it off I had 2 drunks near me who talked loudly through the whole show. All of these nuisances still didn't hinder my enjoyment of my 1st Jewel concert. The worse part of the night was driving home and hearing about the Lady Di tragedy on the radio. It really sent my mood from the highest high to the lowest low. Okay here is the extremly good news everyone I e-mailed about getting angelfood mailed me back and even some others have said they would make tapes for me....isn't that the best???Now thats EDA spirit for you....Oh yeah I almost forgot in english today we were put in groups and told to make a banner of what english means to us (kind of childish work for grade 11,but I didn't mind I'd rather do that than write :))we had to name our group....and I suggested(sp??) my group be called the everyday angels and everybody said that was a great name so I told them about us and they though it was pretty cool..don't worry my class knows what the EDA's are and I didn't say I made up the name or anything I even got to include Jewel in or presentation I said she was an insperational writer..my teacher didn't even know who she was ahhhh!!! :) luv ya marija 0:) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 04 Sep 1997 00:11:03 -0700 From: joe Subject: JEWELry Hey Guys.. Its been awhile since I've posted to this list... I'm just writing to say hi, and to update you all on the progress of JEWELry. The JEWELry piece still has not been decided upon, but we've finally narrowed it down to 2 choices. Those choices are the necklace/choker/bracelet, and the dog tags. The necklace/choker/bracelet idea is that those who don't really like chokers can always cut the necklace down a little bit, and make a bracelet, or an anklet or whatever. These will most likely be made out of hemp with the EDA letters put on with beads. The dog tags idea is that on one dog tag we would have the Jewelstock angel, and below it we would have EDA, or EveryDay Angels. There would be a second tag, but we haven't really discussed that one very much. We discussed the possibility of having colored dog tags, but after speaking with several dog tag makers (i guess), they have advised against actually having the tags colored, because the way they do that is by adonizing the tags, which may cause the paint to chip and fade. So the next best thing is having a colored silencer put on the tags. A silencer is like a small plastic, or some kind of synthetic thing that goes around the edges of the tags and stops them from clanking (hence the term silencer). The silencer would probably be blue in color, as that is the color of the EDA. Hmm...what else? I guess thats about it for now. Any questions, please direct them to me at goat@voyager.net, or joing the eda-project list the same way you joined this one... joe ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Sep 1997 00:25:54 -0400 (EDT) From: FabSurfGal@aol.com Subject: JC: San Diego Concert Just to let anyone know that is interested: Jewel will be playing on Septemeber 20th at Hospitality Point. This is partly because I love hearing anything and everything about my inspiration, Jewel, but mostly because of the people on the list. I sent a request for angelfood because I, like most of us, can't seem to get enough of Jewels music and though I love my POY CD to death, I crave hearing every note of every song she's ever written and I got at least a dozen responses. The fact that a dozen people would take time out of their busy schedule to help someone they don't know out, overwhelmed me. The kindness members of this list show to one another is unlike anything i've ever witnessed before, it's as beautiful as Jewel and her music. I understand it, however, because it is Jewel's music that brought us all together in the first place, and anyone who respects and supports everything she's accomplished as much as I do, must be as loyal to her as I. In my opinion Jewel has the most dedicated, loyal, supportive and loving fans out of anyone famous. The purpose of me writing this is just to show a little bit of friendliness and gratitude to every single EDA, and let you all know just how glad I am to be part of something special like this.
