There's a small picture of Jewel on the cover, up in the top right hand corner, it's the infamous Hits cover photo, the caption reads "25 secrets about Jewel." The piece is on page 18, and it is a full page, it lists 25 things, most of which we know. But it does mention the EDAs and the star that was named after her. It also has a little box on the same page which says, "Join Jewel's Online Fan Club," it also asks, "Wanna be an Everyday Angel?" Then it mentions the list and gives the address, etc., it also mentions the address for Jewel News. I was talking to a great on the phone yesterday, and she already knew I was a big Jewel fan... she wanted me to listen to something. So she asked me if I liked Jewel... what a question... anyways, you can probably guess how I replied (vehemently stating my love for Jewel). So she said "Well, this isn't Jewel" While I was tryign to puzzle out the point of her asking me that if it wasnt Jewel, she played the tape...anyways, what it was was her friend Angela singing You Were Meant For Me with her band. And it was GREAT!!!! Of course, it didnt sound quite AS good as Jewel, but it was pretty damn close, and almost oerfect in a few places!!! I haven't met Angela yet, but I'm like in love with her if she sounds that much like Jewel. Question for EDAs... Ok, i was watching Muchmusic a while back, and someone requested YWMFM by Jewel. So they played it, but it was a different version. The background music was a bit different, faster and more upbeat sounding, and the song was a little different too...the signing sounded almost the same as the other video/radio version, but everytime she got to the "Dreams last for so long, even after you're gone" line, it was snipped out from the song. (ie: "..it made me miss you, oh so bad, cause I know you love me..."). The video wa different too, it opened up with a theatre, and it showed the section that shows what movies are playing, and the one on the left was "Dreams last so long" and the one on the right was "Even after you're gone". Could someone tell me the story on this video? My friend thinks it was recorded a long time ago, and was the first YWMFM video, but it didn't make it very far. Is this the case, or is this a remix version that was made after YWMFM became popular? ============================================================================== Chris "Hit Man" Thomas aa297@chebucto.ns.ca "Wherever you are, you will carry always, truth of the scars, and the darkness of your faith..." -Gavin Rossdale, Bush (from the song Cold Contagious) ============================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Sep 1997 16:31:26 +0300 (IDT) From: Reggev Michael Subject: Re: UKJC: National Lottery Live Show Cancelled, YWMFM Re-released.
