I had two dreams with Jewel in them. In the first dream which was kind of weird, she was giving a concert in the background,.......AND I didn't watch it. Can you belive that!! That was the crummy one the one that I thought was really awsome was the second. I was working at the Barens & Noble music department(which is where I work) walked in. I was blown away no no no not like that. Jewel was standing at the CD rack nearest the registers. I told my associate that I would take this sale. I walked up with practiced cool and said "Is there anything I can help you find??" She turned to me smiled and said "Yes where is my CD??" I know right where it is but I melted and became a babbling fool. I showed her right to the spot and she thought it was way to much. I told her everything like, I am a huge fan, I'm an EDA, you changed my life, etc. etc. Then I finally asked her "If you ....I mean if it could fit into your scedule...I would be really honered if you might if you....My family would love to have you to dinner if you....??" "No I don't want to meet your family but I would love to eat something with you." Jewel said. I don't remember the dinner but it must have gone well because she went back to my house with me. I showed her my room and she made some comment that I don't remember.......and then My alarm went off........#$@%^#$$%^^&*&^*& alarm!!!!! Well that is just me enjoy. Hope everyone attending the Toronto Lillith Fairs are having a great time! I wanted to share with you a great band called The Cat Mary, but I'll start out with some more about Joy Eden Harrison. I have seen Joy perform 4 times now, and each time I am left in awe of her talent and beautiful voice. Please do yourself a favor and get her album _Angel Town_ as soon as you are done reading this! Unfortunately for us San Diegans, last night at Claire De Loon was her fairwell performance since she is moving to Chicago. We will miss you Joy! I think what I like about her the most (besides her sweet and very friendly, caring soul) is her awesome stage presence. Joy puts on quite a spectacular show, does a lot of little stories and wraps the audience around her little finger with her sultry voice and smoky sexiness. She will leave a big hole in the San Diego music scene! Anyway, The Cat Mary. We (Shelly, Kaili, Chelsey and my friend Chris) saw them open for Joy last night and I was stunned at the talent. What are they like? 10,000 Maniacs with a powerful male lead singer. In the band is a violinist, cellist, string bassist, guitarist, drummer and keyboard. They are an awesome, awesome, awesome band who is sure to get big soon. The Cat Mary has one album _Her High, Lonesome Days_ but it is only sold through them. Their drummer, George (who is a rad guy), called me today and is going to get some tapes together to spread out to the EDAs so you guys can here what great music they produce, a very organic jazz/folk. Joy said this is one of her favorite bands in San Diego, and Cindy Lee Berryhill introduced us to their drummer George last night as one of her good friends. They just rock and are definitely EDA material. So remember, Joy Eden Harrison, The Cat Mary, check them out! =) Everyone have a great day!
