For example: i'm not sure if any of you went to the marist concert jewel did, if you did you would remember that when jewel was singing "You say he's a faggot do you want ot bash in his brain' from pieces of you, some guys in the audience who did not understand that jewel was not stating that she did not like "faggots" started cheering and saying nasty things.....she then stopped mid song to set them straight and to say that they misunderstood her............ yours truly. - -kirsten P.S. i have recently unsubscribe from the list so i could subscribe back on with the loose mail thing, so if you want to comment on my post you have to send it directly to me at Zelda6248@aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jul 1997 22:37:23 -0700 From: red_ranger@juno.com (Nick the blurred Angel) Subject: FionaTori@aol.com: Re: Lilith Fair Cd This was a letter reguarding the Lilith Fair CD from the Fiona Apple list that I am on. Stories > are > expected! :) yeah, me. I was the only fan I knew. then, after listening to PoY over and over, my sister (whom I was sharing a dorm room with) made a copy of my tape, and started listening to it, even when I wasn't around! then, when I came home from school, and played & sung some of her songs on the guitar, my parents fell in love with her and her music. I'm going to see Jewel on Aug 31 with who else? my sis, mom, and dad! : ) Kelly "The Up-And-Coming Angel" {\o/} /_\ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jul 1997 23:07:12 -0500 From: Ashe Mayfair Subject: Quiet Warrior back in the action Ok, as some of you may remeber I shut down my Jewel web page just a shortly before Rockfest (actually took it down the thursday before). Well I have to desided to stick a little somthing back up. So now it will just be a simple page with a changing Real Audio file of one of Jewel's songs. the new address is: http://www.ponyexpress.net/~mayfair/JK.htm BTW, anyone know how to to scripting for a passworded site? I'm toying with the idea of making a site where I can upload things like RA's of things like Jewel preformances on talkshows and others, but I don't want to make songs from PoY avaliable on the internet in any form. Of course this would be for all of you EDA's that missed the show the night before. I could (maybe) even upload full shows. But I need to figure out how to do it before I get to worked up about doing it. Anyway, thanx to all of you. - -Ashe Mayfair: The Longshot Angel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Jul 1997 00:37:30 -0400 (EDT) From: Chimebell@aol.com Subject: Jewel dedication on radio.. Okay, this whole zach thing has gotten out of hand. This guy screwed people out of $120+, but i am simply sick of hearing about it. Things like this really need to remain as personal e-mails between the people involved. I really like this list and what I hear from the people who participate, but stuff that affects less than 1% of the list either needs to be reconsidered or mailed privately. A possible solution is for the maintainer of this list to put together a list of everyone logged onto the list so people could have a list of people they want to keep in touch with privately. Okay, I've ranted. I dont wont to sign off from this list, but I really dont have time to read over 100 messages a day, when a lot of them don't apply to me. Please dont anyone take this the wrong way, I am justtrying to be constructive. ****************************************************************** * * * "We couldn't all be cowbows, Chad Wm.
