If any of you send a letter and get a reply of some sort, please let me know. Todate Zach has conned 9 of us EDAs and has taken $121.00. {Letters & Info sent to victims:} Hi all! ... ...I suggest that all of you do the following: 1. Print out all e-mail you had with Zach. Keep track of all receipts of Money Orders, request a copy of the paid-out check Zach cashes from your banks, and any other evidence you can find regarding proof that you sent Zach money. If you sent cash, that doesn't mean that it's a total loss for you, but it will be very hard to recover that simply because there is not much proof. However, if all of us complain to the right people, investigations may bust him. 2. Send Zach a letter to his last know address requesting the posters he allegedly has or a full refund of your money. (Depending on his response or non-response to your letters, we will know then if he is a fraud or not.) 3. If you don't get a response from his letters, which I doubt you will, then I think it would be safe to assume that we were cheated by Zach. If this is the case, I would suggest you report him to as many authorities that you can think of. (Remember, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil!). We may not ever see our money again, but at least we can cause so much attention to this that authorities start to investigate Zach and put him out of business. Here is a list of some authorities you may want to contact: NATIONAL FRAUD INFORMATION CENTER Visit their web site at: http://www.fraud.org< /A> Once there, click on REPORT an incident. There is a simple form to fill out, then you click and send it on its way. After that there will be a summary of your complaint which I suggest you print out and safe for reference. (THEIR TOLL FREE NUMBER IS 1-800-876-7060) From there you can also click on CONNECT with other agencies on the internet, its address is: http://www .fraud.org/nfic3.htm There is a slew of criminal investigative agencies there. I suggest the one titled FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION NATIONAL COMPUTER CRIME SQUAD. Their number is (202)324-9164. The FBI doesn't put up with crimes over the internet and they would investigate things like fraud and internet scams. Anything that has to do with crimes committed across states with the use of two computers: That's Zack's and all of ours (the violator's and the victim's). There is also a link to the Colorado District Attorney or Attorney General or something like that - check that out too. There are a lot of links at these sites which I suggest you brows through to find as many authorities to complain to. You may also want to contact your local police (I doubt they'll do much!) You may also want to contact your local Post Office and ask what to do or make a report at least... ...by being quiet and not doing anything won't help stop Zach from doing this as a living! *** ...Here are some more agencies to check out should you need to report this fraud if he doesn't pull through. http://www.boco.co.gov/ind ex.html#general 1.The first step in any criminal case is a police report made by the arresting agency where the crime occurred. There's something called "courtesy" Zach may have never heard of. How old did you say he was? Alan already posted a set list (was this show broadcast on the web? I haven't been up with posts lately) so I won't. She didn't have a lot of emotion when I heard it for the first time, but I just heard a tape of it and I guess Larry said she was crying during Foolish Games. It was the best version of Angel Standing By I've ever heard, I closed my eyes listening to it and it was like I was floating in the ocean or flying through the air, it was truly angelic. Jewel was her normal sassy self and let the crowd know how sick of her album she is and decided to play the "new" song Sometimes It Be That Way instead of Little Sister. =) Go figure, Farr and I were getting weird looks as we were singing along with the "new" song from other people. =) Tom and Nancy, Kai and Chelsea, Larry, me, Farr, Alex, Sinj, Mary, Kris, Karen, and a ton of other EDAs were there and the EDA shirts really helped out in finding other angels!!!! We got a lot of people asking about us too! =) Just have to add that Kris Kane stashed his $3000 digital camcorder in the bushes so he wouldn't have to walk all the way back to his car! =) It was still there but that is just too funny!!!!! =) Lillith was a nice little festival that had a lot of little booths to get food and some activist booths too. But before I do, I want to point out that Zach's "alibi" is liek Swiss cheese.. there are so many holes in it it isn't even funny. I was going to suggest to actually hear Corrado16 out but then I realized everything MikeDreams pointed out... Ok.. well this girl Layne wanted me to record 2 Bush videos for me.. so she sent me 20 bucks - for dubbing and shipping... and the tapes.... After about 2 weeks, I couldn't tape them because my VCR had broken and I had no money to repair it. Anyway, what's funny is I sent it back in the mail.. everyday since - no matter how much I told her it was in the mail - she would bother me... after 2 monthes and her not receiving it, she began to tell everyone else who subscibres to her zine and everyone on the Bush mailing list not to trade with me because I stole her money... I am a trustworthy trader and a lot of people know that and it really hurt me to know that I couldn't help anymore Bush fans since I had the nicest collection... it's kinda sad how immature some people are... There were other problems with the mail never getting there,... bush patches.. posters.. $$ for other things... and then I finally realize what I was doing wrong after our mailman was arrested on the job... don't pre-postage packages and give them to your mailman to send... Turns out he took all my packages and kept them - real sweet huh? It was only a joke!! More seriously, there's info on the web that shows a former member of this list is associated with a cult called DOMA -- which stands for "Daughters of Ma" (!) and is engaged in recruiting women for a cult with a physical base in the New Jersey area (but reaching everywhere on-line). The ex-list member now uses the name Ma-Di (Bo and Peep being already taken, I guess) or "Russ Dove" and preaches about "The Way". Hopefully no one on this list has been cultivated or victimized. EDAs are a wonderful group of people and with our idealism and open-ness we can become targets of people like Russ Dove. So if you hear from this character or anyone about DOMA or "The Way" -- be aware and keep things in the open so that EDAs can continue to learn from each other but not be harmed in any way. Just like the few people trying to rip others off, these are not examples of EDAs -- these are people that want to exploit EDAs and the kindness of people here.
