I'm not sure if it's the next new one or the following issue but an interview was done, the cover shot and lots of other photos. It promises to be the biggest exposure yet to the world for Jewel. Add that to current exposure in Web, Accoustic Guitar, Guitar World Accoustic, Internet Life and Details Magazine. There's no shortage of press right now. And don't forget the Batman & Robin Soundtrack is in stores now. On Thursday, Jewel attends the movie premiere (10pm EST Live on E! Entertainment Television Network). MTV Movie Awards airs Thursday as well. Check your local times. And of course, the Unplugged on June 24th. I also managed to get a full-time job working in Ottawa, but I'm not going to get paid for another couple of weeks. Anyways, I have 3 questions requests for anyone who is listening. 1) Lilithfair. As far as I know, there is no Ottawa show, but I still want to go. So if any of you Canadian EDA's out there are organizing rides, places to stay etc., I am interested. I would like to go to a weekend show, since I work during the week, but I can work enough overtime now to take a Friday off or something. So, anyone interested can mail me back. 2) JS tapes. I kind of ran out of money a couple of months ago when almost everyone on the list was making copies, so I didn't bother to try and ask for a copy. But now I can afford the tapes and postage. So, to any older angels who wouldn't mind sending some angelfood this way, I can make it up to you, like washing your car, or walking your dog or something :) 3) EDA stuff. I also have no EDA stuff, but I am interested in aquiring some. I had to leave the list right in the middle of the playing card and guitar pick thing, but if there are any left I wouldn't mind purchasing it. Well, since I'm usually a lurker on mailing lists, this'll probably be the longest message you'll ever see me write. However I am on mirc occasionally under the nick shinai, so you may see more of me there. Well it's getting late and I have to get up real early tomorrow, so that's all for now. Hi y'all, Sorry for the NJC, but this one will be short and sweet. Just wanted to mention that the A&M Records site mentions that Patty Griffin will be in the Lilith Fair tour, however it gives no dates. The Lilith Fair web site does not mention Patty at all as of yet, and their latest "artist update" has today's date, but the site does say "stay tuned for more artists". I am expecting info from Patty's manager any day now, and when I get it I'll post the dates on my Patty Griffin web site at: http://www.spectra.net/~ducksoup/pattyg/patttour.htm For the new folk here, many EDAs are also fans of Patty ever since she mesmerized the crowd as the opener for Jewel on the Thursday night JewelStock show last summer. :) I highly recommend her CD "Living With Ghosts". Subject: What is an EDA? What exactly is an EDA?Is it a subscriber of this mailing list,is it a Jewel fan? I dont believe so.I believe that probably if they are more than 1100 peoples on this list, there aren`t 1100 true EDA`s.Most of them are,but there are still people who loves Jewel, not for her music, not for her art,not for the idea,and.... but for her body. These peoples aren`t EDA,an EDA sees inside the person,Jewel or not, could be a friend,a parent or anybody you know. It`s about helping others, giving yourself for the others, the JPK trust fund is an example, but there are lots of Angels who you may already know do not have an access to the web like us. The meaning of EDA changed, evolved,Jewel showed us the right way to follow through her posts to this list. She told us what was good.Being an EDA aint about knowing all the details on Jewel`s life.Yeah sure, being true and loyal fans of Jewel helps us to understand better.Helps us understanding Jewel`s message. But being an EDA is about, being honest, true, being passionate, even in the small things,it`s about being better by making the rest of the world better. It`s about faith,it`s about having faith in yourself, faith in the others.Being an EDA is trying to be who you really are at your best.Being an EDA,is being you.Dont need no computer,Jewel dosen`t even have one.No knowledge required, wisdom is a detail. All you need is a heart.Jewel inspires us, gives us the fuel we need to get through the day,to give us faith,to keep us from falling into madness and desillusioned pestilence.Being an EDA,is being there, stayin present, living for the others. That`s what an EDA is.Im proud of being an EDA now.
